“Permanent hair colour works very well. Fortunately, its a match for my natural hair colour. I used Tints of Nature to avoid certain chemical additives found in other brands.”

“As I have an aleregy to normal Tints...Tints of Nature suit me and I have been using them now for 2/3 years. My only gripe is that they fade quickly around the hair line.”

This is great feedback, thank you for your loyal custom. Sometime a pre-treatment can work to help prepare the hair for colouring, our Hydrate Treatment is great for this and our colour safe care products, like our Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner are specially formulated to prevent colour fade. As we all have different hair types and conditions we can experience colour fade at different rates. “Gentle on my scalp. Good coverage, but not completely covering my grey. Also takes a while to colour hair when you have to use the hydration treatment first.”

Thank you for your review :) yes...we understand it can take some time when pre-treating your hair before the actual colour application but we like to think of it as the perfect excuse for some tlc and pamper time. Grey hairs can be very very stubborn and resistant - keep up the treatments and see how you go, if you still feel the coverage is still lacking give us a call :) 01590 613490

“It's better for your hair than dyes containing more Hydrogen peroxide. It does contain some so it can still take a toll on your hair and any improvement may be largely due to not using other products. I would suggest for those who take instructions as gospel that they *don't have to* comb through their hair after the first shampoo as hair is hard to comb without conditioner and you may pull quite a lot of hair out in the process. I added some of my own conditioner at the end as not enough in sachet to comb through easily. If I were this company I'd change the advice about combing through (yes, I know why the instruction says to do that, but it's not worth it for fine hair), add more conditioner and put *all* the ingredients in order of quantity somewhere they can easily be read. Have an old flannel to hand to keep dye from staining your face (as your hair is wet when dye is added it will tend to run). And use own cap and gloves if you have some to hand (you may need two pairs of gloves or wash off the gloves before removing them the first time). I love that this product isn't tested on animals. One question ~ how often would you suggest it's okay to use it?”

Generally speaking we would recommend colouring your hair with Tints of Nature Permanent Hair Colour between every 4-6 weeks depending on your hair regrowth, but this can vary between customer to customer. “I buy the semi permanent hair dye as I can only use completely organic dye. The product is very good, although you can get it cheaper elsewhere. The plastic hat needs to be elasticated as it just falls off, I use a shower cap. The gloves could be of better quality also.”

“I bought this again today and the box has changed(new). I am not happy with the changes in product. The color seems good but the shampoo left my shoulder length hair so dry and stripped it took ten minutes to comb out. Then after rinsing the color and shampooing, there was not near enough conditioner. Never had this issue before with this product in the past. I'm glad i have thick hair as I lost two brush fulls trying to get it untangeled. Please go back to the old way of makinf it. Will see how it looks tomorrow.”

“I use the lightener kit to do my own bayalage. It works fine and I'm happy knowing it's cruelty free and vegan. I just wish you could buy it without the gloves, dish, brush etc. - such a waste when I have my own. Oh and I need two boxes for long hair.”

“I love the dye but had a problem. The 1st time I used it it irritated around my ears and scabbed a bit. The 2nd time I was cautious and used lot's of Vaseline around my head. It irritated my scalp and my hair fell out, I have a couple bald spots. I followed directions....or It's just not good for me?? My sister has been using forever and the color stays. I just had a reaction? Any advice?”

We always recommend carrying out a skin sensitivity test 48 hours prior to using our hair colours even if people you know have not had reactions, it does not mean that you wont. “I love the colour and shine you get with Tints of nature. But the process I find too long, my hair was wet for an hour, and last winter I caught a cold. I don't know why the shampoo and conditioning, after dying the hair, could not be one process. The instructions want you to rinse in-between. I was exhausted by the end.”

We also advise using our shampoo and conditioner at the end of the process to seal the colour in, for longer lasting results.
