“Absolutely gutted & really disappointed I’ve reacted to the tints of nature hair dye much more than I normally react to normal salon hair dye. I thought this was meant to be more natural!!!!”

Hello, thank you for getting in touch with us. We are sorry to hear of your disappointing experience using Tints of Nature. Did you carry out a skin sensitivity test before applying the colour to your hair? This is very important, even if you have coloured your hair before. Over time we can develop allergies to any ingredient, even the most natural of ones. Our permanent home hair dye is made with 95% naturally derived and 75% organic ingredients, so you are correct in thinking that it does have a higher natural content, but this does not prevent any reactions unfortunately. “didn't colour my hair at all roots stil dark and grey is visible never again I'm gutted what a waste of money and I have no money as it is I could cry I'm so upset”

Customer experience and satisfaction is of great importance to us and we would like to look into the matter further and establish a resolution for you. Grey hair can be very stubborn and depending on your base hair colour and chosen Tints of Nature shade results can vary. Tints of Nature permanent colours will lift hair by one shade and our semi-permanent shades will only tint your hair and not lift your base colour. “To restore my hair's health I have turned away from all chemical based hair products so for color I have been using henna. The only drawback with henna is that it's not the best at covering gray. It does an OK job but requires frequent touch ups. I was looking to find a product that would give me better (and longer lasting) coverage but still be naturally-based. I came across your product and thought I'd try it. Problem #1: your clarifying shampoo. It's hard enough to comb through unconditioned hair but your shampoo made it like trying to comb through straw. It felt as if I were ripping out my hair and sure enough much of it did come out during the process. And the reason I am so confident it's your shampoo and not my hair is because henna also requires you shampoo your hair before coloring. I use my own plant-based, all natural shampoo and encounter very little resistance when combing it out. Problem #2: the smell of the dye. Not gag-inducing but far from pleasant. Good news here: the after-shampoo made up for it. It had a very pleasant scent and my hair felt very soft afterward. Problem #3: the conditioner. Once again, not a pleasant smell which as the last step should be an important consideration. But worse than the smell was the quality. The softness I felt after shampooing my hair was gone. Once again it felt rough and was difficult to comb through (maybe the packages were labeled incorrectly?) Problem #4: the results. Once dry, my hair had the same rough texture and the ends sported that "chemical burn" look I would get when using the commercial dyes. Considering I paid $18.99 USD + tax I was not at all pleased. This was just a disappointing experience from beginning to end.”

Hello Caroline Apologies for our delayed response. Your order was despatched from us on Wednesday 7th but you opted for 5-7 working day delivery with Royal Mail and with the weekend in between you must allow for the working day delivery. Dear Sharone, to echo you this is Not Good! Did you carry out a skin sensitivity test 48 hours prior to colouring? Do you have any known allergies to any of the ingredients listed in the product? It is important that we investigate this with you further.
