Where are Hull Trading Standards? It appears that they have to be contacted through free helpline Consumer Direct or similar. This company persistently denies cistomers' Statutory & Legal Rights under the Consumer Laws such as Consumer Rights Act & Consumer Contract Regulations and has T&C that don't comply with these laws either. They also repeatedly mislead Consumers about their Legal & Consumer Rights, Such as: --Threaten to charge "restocking fee(s) if the order is cancelled or returned which is illegal in UK --Only give 48 hours to check for damages and supply photos - the Consumer Laws give 30 days to claim a refund for damage, while for 6 months the retailer gets 1 chance at repair or replacement before refund can be claimed if it doesn't work. --Try to charge the customer substantial amount for return of damaged goods even though the Consumer Rights Act and Consumer Contract Regulations are clear that retailers must pay for retun of arrived damaged goods particularly large/heavy/bulky goods that the customer can't move --Threaten to reduce refund if pallet is not packed perfectly (impossible they are damaged) but refuse to state what law requires that? --Unreasonably demand that the large heavy broken ceramic tiles are packed on a pallet but fail to say how this would be possible for safety reasons or without them falling off (they arrived with totally inadequate packaging in flimsy cardboard boxes with big open bits and many coming apart and covered in a bit of cling film with no padding or protection and held up by plastic strapping that requires commercial plastic strapping machine to do.efuse the damaged tiles being left out front for thwir courier to pack. --Whole order was cancelled within 48 hours due to the amount of damages spotted shortly after delivery but they have not refunded the money after several months - Consumer Laws require full refund within reasonable timescale. --The damaged order has been available for collection for 3 months now but they have not arranged collection and contnually come up with more Unreasonable Demands on the customer about packing pallet perfectly and leaving it on public pavement despite the fact that bits of tile are falling out and boxes coming apart, plus no strapping machine (tape won't hold these very heavy large tiles)Proceedings to recover the payment progressing but it has caused huge amount of stress, delays and inconvenience and now don't have tiles for bathroom.(They offered replacement of damaged tiles but said that "they were on different batch" which means that the colour may not match exactly and due to the tinadequate packaging the risk of it happening again was deemed too high and their unfair legally non-compliant T&Cs too worrying. So this experience along with the similar problems in all their negative reviews suggests that whenbuying from this company,if something is wrong,it may result in months of stress and having to battle long hard legal processes to recover your money while they continually come up with illegal excuses for not refunding or collecting the damged goods. NB that many of their higher star reviews appear to be for ordering small samples sent by Royal Mail - the larger or full orders seem to be more where their inadequate packaging, damages, poor customer service and legally non-compliant Unfair T&Cs cause problems with getting a refund. The design of the tiles is lovely but not much good if they are not received in good condition and dealing with them is a nightmare.

Hello, Please note we have been trying to organise a collection with yourself well pass the 28 days return service we normally offer to help you as you have listed a number of reasons why it was taking weeks between replying to emails. We appreciate you might not be able to psychically lift the tiles yourself but we do require the tiles to be on a euro pallet, as they were delivered, so the delivery company can collect them and transport them back to our warehouse. Is there no way the person, who took the boxes off the pallet in the first place and carried them into your flat, can put them back on the pallet ready for collection?

The tiles themselves are nice and of acceptable quality. The service however was extremely poor. Having paid £45 for delivery, each box was delivered soaking wet, danger and with tiles falling out as you tried to pick them up. Having complained and reported the issue, I was told that only once I ‘counted and photographed’ each broken tile would they be replaced. Absolutely ridiculous to expect me to one by one separate the tiles and find a storage place for them in my home when time was limited before the hiker was due to come. I’d never order from them again

Thank you for the review Jodie. As explained these are special order tiles and, as you have now cancelled your order after they had been despatched, there is a restocking fee of 25% for the supplier to accept them back, as described on our web site. As also described the supplier uses a transport service that uses large lorries to deliver pallet orders and this lorry was unable to reach your house due to the small lane leading up to the property. They attempted to arrange a drop off to you at the top of the road in a local car park but you declined. We offered a new deliver free of charge even though we advertise a second charge for new deliver attempts but you declined. For future deliverers involving pallet deliveries we recommend contacting the company before despatch and making sure they are aware the may need to use a small truck as this can be be organised but may cost extra to book.

CUSTOMER SERVICE A BIG FAT ZERO! Ordered some tiles from this website. TILE.CO.UK entered the incorrect delivery address even though the order and invoice was exactly correct. After receiving tracking info from FEDEX tiles were sent to wrong address on first attempt on Tuesday, then i spent spent 3 hours attempting to contact FEDEX on Wednesday as still hadn't arrived, i then arranged to collect in person from local FEDEX depo. Only by pure chance i caught the van on my street that evening at 5:30pm. After contacting Tile.co.uk with photos of address being incorrect, transcripts of online chat with FEDEX, requesting a refund on delivery charge, there resonse was quite unbelievable, PLEASE READ FOR YOURSELF! : "As you have now received your order within 2 days of ordering (albeit we understand it was a little bit messy) unless you want to return your order, we are not under any obligation to refund any fees whatsoever." Utter disgrace! Zero contrition. Zero interest in their own mistake. Zero customer service. Quite simply laughable in this current day of customer service! MY ADVICE - GIVE "TILE.CO.UK" A WIDE BIRTH.

Nice tile but actual colour of tile does not match the image on the website with the colours very washed out and not what was expected. Shame really as if it had been true to the image it would have been ideal.

The tiles were delivered on a Friday afternoon and when the builders turned up the following Monday and started to unpack the tiles from the pallet, they found that either a whole box of tiles were broken or individual ones within a pack were broken. When I reported the issue to Tile.co.uk, they said that because I had failed to report the issue within 48 hours, they could not replace the tiles. Eventually, they agreed to replace the tiles but wanted photographs of the broken tiles and based on this, they would get three replacements boxes sent out the following day. They never arrived!! When I contacted them again, they changed the goalposts and said that they would need individual photos of all tiles that were broken with a photos of the boxes with each tile from the box. Since two weeks had passed since reporting the problem and with most of the tiles having been unpacked, laid and boxes thrown away, clearly I could not comply with their request. It seems that they carefully craft their story and change goalposts to avoid replacing product that had been delivered as broken to defraud the Customer of product that they have paid for and which should have been delivered intact. I am sure the £4,500.00 we paid for the product would have included insurance!! I finally contacted them again today and they said they never guaranteed to send replacement boxes and are now indicating they will send out one box today. We shall not hold our breath as the frequent lies hold nor more credibility. We have bought tiles previously from other suppliers and where a substantial quantity are delivered on pallets, there are invariably some that get damaged. Other suppliers have replaced damaged tiles without question. If you want to avoid dealing with slippery tile companies, based on my experience, I would recommend avoiding Tile.co.uk at all costs. When you have enough on your hands dealing with a building project, the last thing you need is someone like Tile.co.uk, show lie, prevaricate and change their story continuously. Too much stress and anxiety! Best avoid this crowd!

Hello Ash, thank you for your review. Reviewing your email thread we can see you did indeed send photos showing 5 broken tiles only. When you requested 3 replacement boxes (15 tiles) we did ask for photo evidence as we explained we sell by the tile and not by the box. We do offer either replacements or a refund on any broken tiles received but we require photos showing the total number of tiles. After 2 weeks of waiting for photos from yourself you then asked for an update on the replacements and we have now confirmed 5 tiles will be sent out as replacements due tomorrow. As you have stated we do request orders are checked when delivered and any damages reported within 48 hours with photos so we can make a claim with the delivery company.

I am shocked at the state of the tiles when they arrived - all 4 boxes had damaged tiles It's almost impossible to get someone at TIle.co.uk to answer the phone The tiles don't come on a pallet - in flimsy boxes

We ordered some "antique" looking tiles from Tile.co.uk. The first box we opened had what looked like grubby mouldy tiles in. Please see attached photos. The tiles are faulty and we think we should have been given a full refund, including deliveries cost, £39 for initial delivery and then £41.58 to return the tiles to this company. We are £80.58 out of pocket for nothing. Very disappointed in the company and the tiles. Do not order Vita Natura Decor Brick tile 10x20cm. They look awful. very grubby looking and mouldy. Do not order from this company. We also had to ask twice for a refund of the cost of the tiles, despite sending them back in the same condition as they had arrived. Check your visa card bill if you want a refund. Our delivery costs should have been paid too.

Thank you for the review. Yes the tiles do have a rustic worn effect as described and as shown in the product images we provide. We are sorry you didn't like the tiles. Please note in future we always recommend requesting a sample tile first for free before placing an order so you can view the tile in person. Lots of online tiles shops offer a sample service. The return service we offer is always sent as an email first for you to read and agree to. We allow customers to return tiles within 28 days of receiving them, using any service they prefer if they do not want to use the one we currently offer, but make it clear customers are responsible for the cost of returning any goods they no longer wish to keep.

How can I write a review if I've never received the tiles. I won't be buying from your company as it sounds like a proper mess, can you not spell the name of the customers right?

Hello, names are taken directly from order information inputted by the customer so we have no other way of knowing what your correct name is. Your free sample is by Ca Pietra and as we advertised on the web site, all these orders would be processed after the new year as the supplier was closed for the holidays. Expect your free sample to be with you in the next 2-5 days due to it being a busy period.
