About The British Blanket Company:

The British Blanket Company is a family-run business bringing colour, comfort and warmth to homes all over the UK and beyond. Founded by siblings Bethan and Joe, we’re passionate about creating beautiful blankets that feel as good as they look.

Our designs begin in our Bristol studio, where we pair joyful colour palettes with timeless patterns. Each blanket is then woven at traditional mills around the British Isles using natural, sustainable fibres like wool and recycled cotton.

What makes us special is our focus on quality, craftsmanship and sustainability. We work closely with our makers and choose materials that are kind to both people and the planet.

Our customers love us for our uplifting colours, thoughtful touches and the cosy feeling that comes with every blanket. Whether you’re treating yourself or sending a gift, we’re here to help you find a little extra joy, every day.

“My merino lambswool blanket scarf arrived promptly in a recyclable package. I could see the lovely colours when I opened it. The scarf was soft yet very warm and cosy. I have enjoyed wearing it as the weather has turned cold again. Will definitely be looking out for other items from the British blanket company, and it's made in the UK!”

“We're very happy with our merino wool blanket - I'm very sensitive to wool but this wool is very soft and not scratchy at all. It's also very warm without being too heavy. The ordering process was good too and delivery was quick.”

“Very high maintenance for the price. Very disappointed and stopped using them as look awful. Complained but felt as though I went around in circles and received a small refund as ‘a good will gesture’! My advice is go elsewhere.”

I'm sorry to hear this - pure wool blankets need a little more care than a synthetic, but it's extremely rare for a customer find this to be so problematic. “I love my new blankets. They are good quality and just the right orange for the colour scheme in my spare bedroom. The blanket is a perfect weight to add to a 4.5 tog duvet, when some extra warmth is needed. The wool is soft to the touch. I haven't washed them yet so cannot comment on that.”

“Just received my second blanket from The British Blanket Company and I very much doubt it will end there! My first is full sized, duck egg, herringbone and lives on my bed. It was supposed to be purely decorative, but that idea was gone as soon as I opened the parcel. It's so soft, warm and cosy, it seems almost c riminal to keep it just for the aesthetic, although it is so pretty, and complements my bedroom decor wonderfully. I did find it a bit big to lug up and down the stairs,though, so what better than to get myself an armchair throw, this time in sage herringbone. Just as pretty, just as practical and so warm and cosy over this seemingly endless Scottish winter! Absolutely the best blankets ever. I will be buying more. Oh! nearly forgot the Customer Service. It's excellent. Really quick delivery, lovely website, can't fault it, it's almost as good as the blankets.”
