Never received my very expensive blanket. It was delivered to the incorrect house number and not returned or reimbursed. Money wasted!

We understand your disappointment Johanna, it's very rare that parcels go missing. In this case the address provided to us did not have any house number, and of course we are reliant on the customer to provide us with an address that is complete and correct. Not the quality i expected for a Merino throw costing £140. Thin and not very soft. Had no time to change as needed to give three of these as gifts (sad). Certainly wont be buying again or recommending. Have since bought some elsewhere with another brand that were cheaper and much better.

I was very disappointed with my recent purchase as it was one of the most expensive blankets on the site, £165, after just a week it looked awful, I emailed the company and was basically told it was my fault!! After just a week! I have purchased from the company before but don’t be again

We're sorry to read this review Julie - we don't want any customer to feel disappointed and take pride in the quality of all our blankets. Unfortunately, it is the case that wool blankets used in high friction areas will pill more readily, but when used with care they will last a very long time. Returned blanket on 3rd January as the colour we want is out of stock,as of today we have not been reimbursed .

I am appalled by customer service from this firm. My exchange of emails with this firm show customer relations are not priority..they demonstrate a refusal to assist in a simple request to provide a compliment slip with Bumblee bee blanket handwritten on it as it was relevant for the baby gift I was giving. After a number of obstructive e mails I was advised 'I didn't think you would want to pay £3.99 for a compliment slip but if you do I will invoice you' it was a simple request!!!! Interestingly they would prefer to provide a return label for blanket to be posted back for refund. I purchased a beautiful blanket from another small company.

I would only recommend purchasing from British Blankets if you are confident you will not need to return an item. Should I have looked at the 1 star reviews pre purchasing I would have been aware of your poor reputation for your refund process. I received confirmation of a refund 9 days ago and have not received - I have contacted you via your support email address and have not received a reply as to where the refund is - I am now having to complete a bank fraud transaction form -

I'm sorry to read this. We always take negative feedback very seriously and review the circumstances in detail to see if we can improve. We're always happy to accept returns and process refunds twice a week. I can see that we refunded you promptly, and replied to all your emails in a timely manner with proof that the refund had been successfully completed. Dreadful product. The rugs are so thin you can see through them. Nothing like I was expecting and I paid over £100.

Very high maintenance for the price. Very disappointed and stopped using them as look awful. Complained but felt as though I went around in circles and received a small refund as ‘a good will gesture’! My advice is go elsewhere.

I'm sorry to hear this - pure wool blankets need a little more care than a synthetic, but it's extremely rare for a customer find this to be so problematic. I received my order of a blanket. It was a beautiful throw but the colour didn't match my colour scheme. I find it hard to believe that I have to pay postage to return this item when you offer no shop to view first and expect customers to accept that the colour chosen from a small photograph on the website to be exactly what they require. I am now having second thoughts about ordering another blanket in the hope that this one, at least, is the correct colour and if it is it, yet another return postage has to be paid.

We're sorry to read this review. As an online shop we know how important photography is, which is why all our images are professionally taken and colour-matched. We photograph each blanket both in a studio setting against a white background and in natural light to show the colour in context. The images can be clicked and enlarged to full-screen size for a close-up look. Sadly, despite all these efforts, each screen will render colours differently, with mobile phone and tablet screens in particular often boosting saturation and contrast. I can see that Elle in our customer service team is already assisting with your return and we're happy to advise on the exchange for another colour which will hopefully be a perfect fit. Blanket was great. Delivery great. Wasn’t the right fit for my flat so have been repeatedly trying to return this. I have sent multiple email requests after your return request system on the website wouldn’t work - I’ve had no response. Can someone please contact me?

Poor customer service. I tried to call and emailed requesting a callback to discuss my purchase as the colour on the website in comparison to what I received was way off! I was hoping they’d replace it but as I heard nothing back I decided to request a refund and buy an alternative elsewhere.

Dear Steven, I am so sorry to read this review. We're a small team and unfortunately were unable to give you a call back during the timeslot you specified. However, I can see we did phone back the same day and follow up with an email too. We professionally colour match every image on our website to ensure they are as accurate as possible but unfortunately, some devices can show colours differently, usually with more brightness and saturation. We are always happy to exchange or refund any items that are not quite the right colour and we will be sure to process your return promptly when it arrives back with us.
