“I enjoyed my TEFL course with The TEFL Academy. I have previously studied linguistics and find languages interesting. The was well presented, content was easy to follow and aspects of language were explained clearly. The course covers all topics you would expect to be included and offers an excellent introduction to the English language and teaching foreign learners. I would recommend The TEFL Academy - it was an excellent course.”

“TEFL 120 hour online course plus 2 day classes. I found this course to be interesting and very useful. As a native English speaker, the first thing I was surprised at was how difficult I found the grammar rules. As I'm sure British educated people that have done this course will find, we are not expressly taught the rules of language so much as pick them up as we go. The course was very good at introducing these terms and rules to me in a clear and precise manner. Aside from that, the rest of the course I was very pleased with. The order it is presented in is logical and the information provided relevant and useful. I would recommend however completing the online course if possible before the class aspect. While the class interaction was good, I feel it would be better to have that experience as a springboard to going out and finding a job immediately after, instead of then working your way through the course and some of that knowledge fading. All in all a great experience though. And if I can manage a distinction, I would say it is achievable by anyone willing to put in the time and effort. Also, thanks to the support network that answered my (sometimes stupid or redundant) questions quickly and completely. They and my end of course markers were of great help and should be used when needed by any students who have questions they are struggling with.”

“Ive thoroughly enjoyed my 120 hour course. The 20 hours classroom learning was extremely informative and encouraging and infact made me want to pursue this further. The online course was easy to follow and convenient for me to fit around my worklife and since completing the course, the online materials and jobs board have been of great use. I cant wait to start teaching and have already recommended this course to my backpacking friends!”

“This course was exactly what I was looking for, and it delivered superbly well. I had been thinking of doing a TEFL course for a while but I finally took the plunge this year with The TEFL Academy. Their website clearly laid out all details of the course and how it would be presented; the online student portal where all of the materials, exams, assignments etc were held is very clear and a very good system. I was very impressed at how everything was laid out. The course was very well structured and the learning material was very clear and informative. I have learned an awful lot from this course, specifically from the grammar modules and it is nice to have to prove you have understood and learnt the material in that module before you can progress to the next one. It helps you focus your mind on only the topic at hand. The exams were pitched at a good level and the assignments were a thorough test of all information learned on the course. The face to face weekend part of the course was intensive but extremely useful. Over the course of the Saturday and Sunday I learned a lot from a very accomplished tutor, he was very pleasant and personable and his explanations were clear and thorough. He gave us all the opportunity and confidence to try and practice teaching at several different parts of the course, allowing all of us to step out of our comfort zones and practice teaching. I am so glad I did this course and I am very happy to have done it with The TEFL Academy, I cannot recommend this course and this company highly enough! Brilliant!”

“The Two day course, although intensive, was really encouraging and interesting, opening up an assortment of ideas and areas that had alas long been put away in a cobwebbed covered cupboard once leaving school. The enthusiasm of the tutor was brilliant, encouraging greater interaction between students as the day progressed. (A sign of an excellent tutor!). She made us all feel that success was achievable, and that age need not be a barrier to success. Many thanks for all your support throughout the course.”

“Overall the TEFL online course I did was very good. When I was doing the modules I had to click "next" to get to the screens very often. This was because there was only a small amount of information on a lot of the screens. Often I had to go back and reread screens. This made it a bit tedious but otherwise it was all excellent. The instructions and the information was extremely well put together. The visual aspect of it all was very user friendly as well and everything was very clear. Canice Corr”

“The classroom component was extremely enjoyable. The TEFL tutor was very engaging and provided us will all the necessary information to begin the course. The online component covered all of the content that I would expect. The module reading provided all the information required for each assignment. Instructions were clear and feedback was constructive and helpful. The timeline allowed me to work at a relaxed pace. The TEFL Academy provided support at each stage and I realised I had nothing to worry about as they prepared me sufficiently for each assignment. I would highly recommend this course to anyone pursuing a career in teaching or not as the experience was valuable with transferrable skills and an unforgettable journey. The course has now provided me with unlimited opportunities and the TEFL Academy continues to support me in my career decisions.”

“I spent a lot of time looking at the courses available with different providers and I am glad I chose the TEFL one. The classroom sessions were a really helpful preparation for the online course and the instructor gave us many good tips and links to resources. I didn't do the online course immediately, but when I did everything I had learnt in the classroom sessions came back, which is all credit to the instructor. Although you are on your own doing each online module, the feedback was a great help and boost. The fact that it required a significant amount of research will I am sure keep me in good stead for my future in teaching career. I would certainly recommend the TEFL course.”

“Very good. Very happy with all aspects of the course. I would recommend doing the 20 hour intensive course along with the 100 hours online. It will help you do the online section and give you practice using the material in a classroom situation. Everything was very well explained and done in an appropriate time frame. Really happy to be TEFL qualified.”
