“Really in depth modules with with a lot of extra resources available. The tutors were very responsive and gave detailed feedback. I felt the course focused on practical skills for teaching which was great, as well as giving lots of theory.”

“The modules are all clearly defined and written. Easy to follow and understand, and the questions at the end of each section are a help to see if you have understood the module. Being able to check your own answers with TEFL's answers also helped to show if I had understood the modules sections The tests at the end of each module are also clear, and choice of answers to tick great. If you had studied the modules well, the tests were no real problem. The end of course exams were clearly defined as to what was required and really made one have to work at writing a lesson and setting up a classroom type experience in lesson ideas. I found this really challenging and am over the moon that I completed this course and attained my certificate.”

“I took me 6 months to complete the course, fitting it around moving house twice and setting up in another country! I found it as intellectually challenging as my degree since, like most Brits growing up in the sixties, I was not taught grammar and had to learn most things from scratch. This in itself was very interesting and stimulating. The feedback on the classroom practice and assignments was thorough and useful and I felt at all times in safe and capable hands.”

“I recommend this course to anyone wanting to teach abroad ! I did the combined course with 20 hours in a classroom which I found very helpful. I have learned things that I hadn't even been taught in school! The course is accessible anywhere and the tutors are available for help and support.”

“I already have a job as an English teacher but since I have done this course I feel much more confident while doing my lessons! I have learnt many new techiques to make my lessons enjoyable for the students and I have noticed that they appreciate them too! I am happy to have done this course also beacuse I could access when I had time and anywhere I wanted. It was easy to understand and simple. I really recommend it to anyone!”

“[120 Hour TEFL Course] I went to the 2 day teaching course before I completed the online assessment and I found it very thorough, many elements from the teaching lesson were repeated online which helped consolidate knowledge. A wide variety of examples were used and the TEFL course itself used small exercises through which you would teach English as a foreign language in order to teach the TEFL course itself which I found very helpful. It was always very easy to contract staff or support when necessary and they were always very enthusiastic and accommodating. Overall this course delivered a lot more than expected when I signed up for it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go into teaching English or simply to get a better understanding of our language.”

“Excellent course which I really enjoyed. Easy follow & good pace of the modules. The assignments allow you to put everything into practice & be creative. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone wanting to teach & become qualified or even as a refresher for anyone with previous teaching experience. “I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The modules are comprehensive and well-structured, the content is very detailed - particularly for understanding and teaching grammar - and the regular testing helps to balance the workload, especially if you are juggling the course with regular employment. The final assessments are creative and excellent preparation for independent teaching. In my opinion the standout feature however was the two-day intensive training. The opportunity to meet an experienced TEFL educator and discuss potential challenges and concerns, practice hands-on teaching methods and have practical demonstrations of classroom management was invaluable. I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering a TEFL career, and I found all of the modules engaging and enjoyable.”

“I enjoyed my TEFL course with The TEFL Academy. I have previously studied linguistics and find languages interesting. The was well presented, content was easy to follow and aspects of language were explained clearly. The course covers all topics you would expect to be included and offers an excellent introduction to the English language and teaching foreign learners. I would recommend The TEFL Academy - it was an excellent course.”

“TEFL 120 hour online course plus 2 day classes. I found this course to be interesting and very useful. As a native English speaker, the first thing I was surprised at was how difficult I found the grammar rules. As I'm sure British educated people that have done this course will find, we are not expressly taught the rules of language so much as pick them up as we go. The course was very good at introducing these terms and rules to me in a clear and precise manner. Aside from that, the rest of the course I was very pleased with. The order it is presented in is logical and the information provided relevant and useful. I would recommend however completing the online course if possible before the class aspect. While the class interaction was good, I feel it would be better to have that experience as a springboard to going out and finding a job immediately after, instead of then working your way through the course and some of that knowledge fading. All in all a great experience though. And if I can manage a distinction, I would say it is achievable by anyone willing to put in the time and effort. Also, thanks to the support network that answered my (sometimes stupid or redundant) questions quickly and completely. They and my end of course markers were of great help and should be used when needed by any students who have questions they are struggling with.”

“Ive thoroughly enjoyed my 120 hour course. The 20 hours classroom learning was extremely informative and encouraging and infact made me want to pursue this further. The online course was easy to follow and convenient for me to fit around my worklife and since completing the course, the online materials and jobs board have been of great use. I cant wait to start teaching and have already recommended this course to my backpacking friends!”
