“I would definitely recommend doing the 120 hours course with some classroom work. I felt the in class work was particularly good for learning a lot about what is it actually like to teach English abroad. My teacher was very knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the class. The online work can take a long time. Lots of essays and lesson plans, but it definitely a great introduction to what teaching is actually like. I found the learning materials very useful and the feedback was very constructive. I would recommend this course to everyone.”

“The 20 hour course was helpful, as for the teacher she is very competent. The online course is clear and organised, any help required will directly be responded to. The correction was fair and in terms of receiving the certificate it was quick as it came the second day after completion of the course. Thank you, would definitely recommend this course to someone else.”

“I found the content of the TEFL Academy course to be relevant, interesting and well laid out - it was split into modules which made it feel more manageable, and the order of the material presented meant I felt like there was a good progression from the basics to the more complicated material. The feedback I received was really detailed and very helpful - I wasn't expecting such thorough feedback but the instructors clearly took a lot of time to go through my assignments in detail and offer as much helpful feedback as they could! I feel like I have covered everything necessary to begin teaching, and that I have a really solid foundation because of this course!”

“The TEFL Academy taught me a lot through their online courses. I am happy because I gain a lot of knowledge in such a reasonable price. The tutors were extremely helpful in telling me what I did wrong and how to fix my assignments. I had no clue whatsoever on how to properly choose our teaching materials. This is where the teachers helped me find the right teaching materials. Im very much satisfied with the course as it gives me ample time to finish the course.”

“I would highly recommend this course. It is well structured, and follows a clear path through EFL teaching. It gives good opportunities for revision and learning consolidation. It explains very well the intricacies of grammar, and offers good ideas for lesson planning and delivery. As it is an online course, of course there is no chance to have a practice lesson, and a complete beginner teacher might still feel the need to shadow some classes or tutorials, before feeling confident to go it alone. But that said, the course gives an excellent grounding and framework for TEFL.”

“Really good! I had a medical condition so it took much longer than it should of to finish. But I did,. and everyone was super helpful. Even if you don't get the assignment correct the first time, they will help you with every query asked. Very fast responses and fair grading system too!”

“Really in depth modules with with a lot of extra resources available. The tutors were very responsive and gave detailed feedback. I felt the course focused on practical skills for teaching which was great, as well as giving lots of theory.”

“The modules are all clearly defined and written. Easy to follow and understand, and the questions at the end of each section are a help to see if you have understood the module. Being able to check your own answers with TEFL's answers also helped to show if I had understood the modules sections The tests at the end of each module are also clear, and choice of answers to tick great. If you had studied the modules well, the tests were no real problem. The end of course exams were clearly defined as to what was required and really made one have to work at writing a lesson and setting up a classroom type experience in lesson ideas. I found this really challenging and am over the moon that I completed this course and attained my certificate.”

“I took me 6 months to complete the course, fitting it around moving house twice and setting up in another country! I found it as intellectually challenging as my degree since, like most Brits growing up in the sixties, I was not taught grammar and had to learn most things from scratch. This in itself was very interesting and stimulating. The feedback on the classroom practice and assignments was thorough and useful and I felt at all times in safe and capable hands.”

“I already have a job as an English teacher but since I have done this course I feel much more confident while doing my lessons! I have learnt many new techiques to make my lessons enjoyable for the students and I have noticed that they appreciate them too! I am happy to have done this course also beacuse I could access when I had time and anywhere I wanted. It was easy to understand and simple. I really recommend it to anyone!”

“[120 Hour TEFL Course] I went to the 2 day teaching course before I completed the online assessment and I found it very thorough, many elements from the teaching lesson were repeated online which helped consolidate knowledge. A wide variety of examples were used and the TEFL course itself used small exercises through which you would teach English as a foreign language in order to teach the TEFL course itself which I found very helpful. It was always very easy to contract staff or support when necessary and they were always very enthusiastic and accommodating. Overall this course delivered a lot more than expected when I signed up for it and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to go into teaching English or simply to get a better understanding of our language.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed this course. The modules are comprehensive and well-structured, the content is very detailed - particularly for understanding and teaching grammar - and the regular testing helps to balance the workload, especially if you are juggling the course with regular employment. The final assessments are creative and excellent preparation for independent teaching. In my opinion the standout feature however was the two-day intensive training. The opportunity to meet an experienced TEFL educator and discuss potential challenges and concerns, practice hands-on teaching methods and have practical demonstrations of classroom management was invaluable. I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering a TEFL career, and I found all of the modules engaging and enjoyable.”
