Lovely people but I can’t provide a better rating because the treatment failed to help my hamstring pain. I’ve spent a lot of money c. £800 (more with travel costs) and not seen the value I hoped for. The pin when I run is still just as bad. I would like to rate my practitioner higher but I saw so many different people that I lost track of who was my practitioner.

Whilst the treatment I received was very good it’s a shame it was let down by the pressure put on you as a new client to purchase their very expensive passes and a pricing system which is frankly a con and not at all transparent. What their price list doesn’t explain is that when you buy either a 6, 12 or 24 appointment pass they are only appointments of 30 minutes at £44 per 30 minute session if you buy a ‘pass’. So a 6 pass appointment is in fact is 3 x 3 hr sessions as they encourage you to ‘double book’ your 30 minute sessions to last an hour to make it more ‘convenient’ for you. The 6 sessions at £44 cost £278 for what was essentially 3 hour sessions. An hours appointment is in fact only £57 but this is also deliberately not made clear on the pricing structure and is listed simply as a ‘Treatment’. So my treatment should only have in fact cost me £171 - due to being pressurised into buying a pass I ended up paying an extra £108 over the odds which I am less than happy about and will not be recommending this company on. Thank goodness I didn’t buy a 12 or 24 session pass as was initially suggested because also FYI you don’t get any money back if you don’t need all the appointments. Once you’ve finished your treatment you will also be strongly encouraged to buy more passes despite not actually needing them which suggests that this company are simply only after your money, so avoid at all costs!!

Hi Rebecca Thank you for your valued feedback; we are really pleased that you had a great experience with your treatment. At The Medical we believe Physiotherapy is not just there for you when you are in pain. Instead we always strive for the best for our clients, and so create treatment plans designed to take them to the highest levels that they can be. For some this may just be being able or get through daily life free from pain, and for others its being able to play the sports that they love and participating fully in life. So we create ambitious plans that get great results. We are open with our pricing structure, and our physiotherapy and one-to-one rehab sessions are allocated 30 minutes regardless of how you pay. This is pretty much the industry standard for a private Physiotherapy appointment. The length of appointments are not displayed as you are paying for a treatment and expertise, not a time period. A good analogy might be that you pay a dentist to provide a filling, regardless of how long it takes them. The twice weekly frequency was likely to have been suggested for the best possible outcomes for you, and this was broken into one rehab session and one manual therapy session. Clinically speaking, these sessions can often be done on the same day and we often suggested this as an option to save the client the time to get to the clinic on 2 separate occasions. We are disappointed that you are left feeling as you have done. We really value all our clients, and are always trying to do the best for them, and it’s a shame that our approach has come across differently to you.
