Teletext COVID processes are appalling. We had two bookings cancelled in April and I have had barely any communication from them. I have emailed to the address that they setup for refunds on 31st July and as expected no reply! I know that they will have a huge number of applications but delaying this process for months when they could have been working their way through them was always going to create this problem. I appreciate that they are trying to preserve cash but this is unacceptable and should not be at the expense of their customers. Ref: TT785105 & TT785093

Had holiday booked for May 2020. Paid balance 31st March 2020. They cancelled my holiday 23rd April 2020 and told my I could take a credit note and claim a try after 31st July 2020. Still not got my refund. I’m now being told to wait until 31st August 2020. This is not acceptable. I want a refund and am considering going to a solicitor. Really angry and will never advise anyone to book through them or use them myself again 😡😡😡😡😡 Ref: TT781452

I can’t get through to them. I have emailed to cancel my holiday but they are not responding at all. We were due to go to Catalonia obviously we can’t go now. Teletext can you please respond to my emails and get back to me??!

ZERO. Don’t ever waste your money or time with this company. Never take calls. Be prepared to spend at least 40 minutes on hold. If you’re lucky enough to speak to someone, they will give you a load of useless information which they have to “abide by, because they are only agents”. Not to mention each of them says something different so expect to be tangled around, back and forth with no solution whatsoever to your problem. And oh, you are never getting your money back no matter how many times you call them. Ignore these silly little “apologies” they write at the end of reviews. All their complaints go down the drain as clearly, we are yet to see any improvement and we’ve been complaining for months now. Trash company, deserve to be sued

I emailed to cancel my holiday, the T&C's advise you that you must put it in writing, which i did. I called customer service to advise them of my actions, I was told that i need to call Jet2 to cancel my holiday, which I thought was odd, nevertheless, i followed the advice i was given. Called Jet2, they told me that Teletext had to cancel the holiday, Jet2 commented that it seemed like a delay tactic, which I agreed with. I called customer service the next day once the lines opened, i was in a que for 40+ minutes, somebody picked the phone up and put it back down. I called, back, after 30+ minutes I spoke to a gentleman called Rahal, he advised me at first that I still had the full balance to pay, i repeated their T&C's back to him, you have to cancel in writing before 84 days from departure, which i have done, if you do that, you do not incur further charges, he tried to tell me that i was wrong, i was repeated the T&C's back to him. He then told me that he couldnt cancel the holiday and that i would have a call back in 24 hours and receive confirmation that my holiday would be cancelled, i then explained that I have cancelled my card and put a block on my account to stop them from taking payment, all of a sudden, he could help me and cancel the holiday. I waited patiently for about another half hour, he advised me that the holiday was cancelled and i would receive confirmation the same day. I hadnt received the confirmation by the afternoon of the same day so i called and spoke to the payment department, Mahmood advised me that i would receive confirmation by the close of play, my holiday is still live on their system and the payment looks set to be taken. Hopefully all of the steps i have taken will prevent this from being taken from my account? I have since emailed Teletext and advised them that if they try to take my money when they know that the holiday is cancelled it will be classed as fraud. For all of you people that need to claim your money back, you need to register your complaint with The Travel Network Group, Teletext are governed by them, their website explains that your money is held in a trust account and they will help you get 100% of your money back. This is the first time i used Teletex, NEVER again, i go on holiday 3 x a year, had they have had good customer support they would have possibly got a lot of business from me. Just another one star review that deserves 0. Absolutely shocking customer service. Hold queues for hours only to be hung up on or passed back into the queue system. Was due to fly mid August, changed the flight to sept '21 and told confirmation would be sent in a week. Received nothing. After speaking to these morons they have no confirmation and still think I'm flying in August after robbing me of even more money to change to next year. Will never be using again

Make sure you Check out the reviews of the accommodation you are staying in before you travel, my son, girlfriend and 2 small children apartment is a dump, very dirty,( and with the Covid 19 v v v unsafe.)

This is a disgusting company who are happy to take your money, but when it comes to refunds are horrible, rude and very bad mannered. They have the call centre in India who have no knowledge or experience of customer service and provide wrong information. And when u speak they shut the calls on you and make you run around for information. I do not recommend this company, because they are friendly to get a booking and rude when u request ur refund. Dnt waste ur time

Have been trying to get some answers since holiday cancelled on 4/5/20. Eventually was told I could rebook and would get full refund for the extra money left over , however they rebooked eventually after spending hours on hold at a cost of 158.00 pounds phone bill. Still waiting refund and the new booking reference is not recognised?? Seriously getting fed up with all the phone calls with no answers and will consider legal action as nearly 2000 pounds they have of my money

Ref : TT 787075 The date for a full REFUND for this holiday has been and gone as per their email money to be refunded 31/07/20 for a holiday booked in march - no answers to my emails and get no answer on the phone £1240 owed !! Very disappointed always used you guys looks like a small claims court case coming - cheers Alan

Disgusting customer service all is well whilst booking the holiday they will pick up quickly. But when it comes to calling customer service you will be told you will get a call back after two days I got fed up and started calling it has now been two weeks with no one picking up no one responding to my emails I have been on the phone line for up to 58 minutes at a time desperate to get through. The online chat server doesn’t work so there is no way of getting through you’ll call sales who put you through. My concern is do they deal at all with customer service as after two weeks of being unable to get hold of someone surely that means no one is working on that end. I understand this may be due to COVID but it needs to be announced I will never ever ever book with them again I’m surprised they are still legally allowed to run.

Teletext just phoned to tell me i wasnt getting the refund i requested in MAY (now august) but great news they have rebooked us for nxt year, without asking .... about 4 times i had to repeat thats no use as i am due a baby in november and there will be 5 of us .. so then his attitude changed n he got soo cheeky saying well thats fine u'll get a refund when we have the money... then he hung up 😐 Soo this pregnant carer who has worked through the pandemic needs to just wait for another god knows how long with a furloughed husband and growing debts thanks teletext top notch service.

My son and his group of friends who are just 18years old have laid out £470 each on a package holiday to lloret on the 10th August! They’ve tried to get a refund but been fobbed off.... really poor service I listened in on the call they made. They’ve save up for this with money from their weekend jobs whilst studying! Just wrong on every level! I will spread this all over social media and the press if this is not resolved to warn others!

Teletext holidays were my favourite travel agent, I've used them for about 10 years! They have no problems at all taking your money but when it comes to them having to refund your money they seem to deal with this in such an unprofessional way! I've been shrugged off, lied to, been made to wait for long amounts of time on the phone, cut off! I've sent messages and emails and have been so patient with everyone I have spoken to and have gotten nowhere! I've wasted a lot of time chasing up! I was due to fly out on 7th of May 2020 I booked this holiday back in July 2019. This holiday was cancelled because of Thomas Cook collapsing in September last year. I patently waited 3 months after speaking to them in January I was expecting my refund to paid into my account in the beginning of March as they said. I did not receive my refund. Every time I rang after not receiving refund I was given a different date, I've been given 3 different dates so far! I was supposed to be refunded on 31st of July surprise surprise still no refund!!! Teletext holidays are nothing but scamming thieves that are full of empty promises, a total let down! I will never use them again even if you do decide to pay me back my money. You should be ashamed of yourselves! I do not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to be driven insane! if you value your mental health I advise you don't put yourselves through what I and hundreds of others have been through. It's really not worth it!

Ref TT776839 Been sending email after email, live chat what a joke, trying to get some kind of customer service from these guys but no reply from them. Ryanair has been in touch with me saying they are changing my flight time/day and need to know if it's ok? But nothing from Teletext saying it's ok and the hotel will change as well. Customer care and service as been exceptionally poor. Would be nice to speak to a human being. Never Again!!

Really really poor. Actually the worst I’ve ever seen. Customer service and lies told are unbelievable and cannot get refund from cancelled flight and accommodation booked for March, Despite sending numerous emails. Very few reply’s. was told lies that I would get refund after waiting hrs to speak to customer care who are very unhelpful and have very poor English Avoid this company at all costs

I booked a holiday last year for the end of July 2020, I was advised by Jet2 a month ago that the flights were cancelled. I have had no communication at all from Teletext about the cancelled flights and so it is lucky that I received the communication I did from Jet2. Teletext continue to send me emails about my holiday advising me to check in, which terminal to use etc. Teletext have even personally replied to my emails brazenly informing me that my flights are going ahead, which is an utter lie. Jet2 have confirmed a refund has been processed 3 weeks ago, as it stands I am nearly £2000 down and have not seen a penny from Teletext. The wait to speak to someone at the contact centre varies between 2 and 3 hours but always with the same result, as soon as you query a refund the call is disconnected. Teletext, the best thing would be for you to go bust so that I can claim via ABTA, my only other option currently is to go via the small claims court, something I have never had to do before. Avoid this company at all costs.

Anyone thinking of booking a holiday should avoid teletext holidays. Our experience mirrors all what has been said by others on here. I urge anyone who has had the same appalling experience as we have to take teletext holidays to the small claims court as we are in the process of doing ourselves. The more people that do this, the better.
