“The course was great. I really appreciated what I learned. I hadn't been to school in many years but this was very helpful. However, I would have to say my tutor was not very helpful with her feedback. All she would say was this is incorrect please try again. Some of the assignments the wording was a little hard to understand and I had to practically beg her please give me an example because I don't understand. Other then that the course was very informative.”

“I think for what its worth, this course teaches you a lot about what you need to know about teaching English abroad. My only issue is that the information is a little outdated. The videos appear to be from 2013, which is not long ago to cover what is needed for today's teaching environments. But it also misses the implications of teaching in a post-covid and AI technological world. These have impacts to pedagogy worldwide.”

“I thought this course was very informative and I liked the mixture of activities and assignments. I found my tutor's feedback to be very helpful and insightful. To improve the course I feel that it just needs an update visually, some of the videos look incredibly old and outdated. I also did notice quite a few spelling mistakes and errors on the pages during the course which need amending. Other than that I enjoyed my TEFL.org experience and would recommend it to a friend wanting a TEFL certificate.”

“Joining the TEFL.org course was a rich experience. It exceptionally opened a new door of teaching to me. However it would have a great impact if TEFL.org tightens the deadline of email replies. When I was studying, it sometimes took a week to receive a reply. It is also my assumption that TEFL course takers would consolidate their teaching skills if they are sometimes required to submit their teaching recording samples rather than just assigning them to explain theories.”

“The course content was good, easy to follow and had clear instructions and information to absorb. The quizzes were a brilliant way to consolidate learning and ensure understanding. The assignments were more tricky, I liked having assignments to be able to practice and show understanding. I felt the word counts were unrealistic however, 200 words for a lesson plan which had to include 8 sections plus additional examples to show own understanding of the grammar was unrealistic. It gave you roughly 25 words per section to show what you were doing in that part of the lesson, activity or instructions plus examples of the grammar of phrases expected. I found the feedback to the assignment very colloquial, mostly starting with ‘okay, good.’ Limited feedback on what was good or if to repeat very limited feedback on where I missed the mark or how to change it. Even when asking directly for more feedback I didn’t get further explanation just told which parts to repeat. I had to go elsewhere to find more explanation. Overall the course was good, content and presentation was excellent and quizzes were very helpful. Assignments could do with a little more guidance and better feedback please.”

“The course is well presented, there is many video‘s to watch and get stuck into. There are points I feel could be expanded on or at least have a video demonstration of what they are explaining. The tests are simple and occasionally challenging but also often worded overly complicated for what they are asking. Overall a good experience, I do feel ready to teach English, like many things it will require a refresh before teaching but I could deliver to anyone who required English”

“Hi, Totally i enjoy while i was completing the courses but maybe som alternations in videos might be effective like the backgrounds or some visual assignments and courses that allow us to join other teachers classes online and may be accepted as an assistant in your institute might be of great help.”

“The course was interesting mostly but feel some of the materials can be updated to be more engaging. For 20+ minute long classroom lessons I found it easier when they were broken into smaller sections as in the final course after grammar and methodology. Overall feel confident in being able to plan and deliver a lesson when the time comes to it though”

“Engaging course. Most valuable part was definitely the feedback from the tutor, which was always given very speedily and with good indication of what could be done better. Grammar was the most difficult and tedious part personally but it was well-explained and divided into chunks that made it more manageable.”

“Lessons were accessible and feedback from tutors was specific. My only issues with the course were some instructions for assignments and activities were occasionally confusing, perhaps due to word choice. Other than that the course was very streamlined, and I am happy to have chosen Tefl org.”

“Course materials are good and thorough and having an online tutor was very useful though would suggest that if this could be extended to zoom might be more beneficial than just receiving emails. The 20 hours tuition sessions brought the methodology section to life so was most enjoyable, but it was a small shame that it had to be deferred to a later date.”
