“The cottage in Northumberland was great Nook cottage it had everything but the same cannot be said of the last one in Lanark no wardrobes poor crockery poor beds mouldy green outside furniture shower cubicle small .It stank of dogs which was really bad!!”
“Very disappointed with our bungalow.
Not up to standard. Very tired and needs new furniture. Outside was a disgrace. Will definitely not rebook this property.”
“Very nice cottage with everything you need. One concern is the gate, a small dog can get under it and out in to the road, so we placed a board we found across it. We would go back if we came to the area again.
One problem we had was having to wait until after 5pm to get the key to get in due to Sykes giving us the incorrect key code. The phone number to contact if any problems was an answer machine. Left a message asking for them to call back because the code was not working. Had to sit in the car for 2hrs waiting for a call back.
After we called Sykes (thankfully someone was working late and answered) they told us to hit the safe, bang it hard just incase the key had dropeed down stopping it opening. Then we did get a number of a lady to call, who told us the correct number to open the key safe.”
“We loved our holiday. Anglesey is a lovely place, will look to book our next holiday at a different part. The cottage was a little disappointing in the fact of the kitchen was in need of a deep clean. We had to wash everything before we could use it, other than that the cottage was nice.”
“Easy to book and no fuss whatsoever.
This was our first time in North Yorkshire and our first time in the cottage. Before we arrived the lovely owner rang and gave us very helpful tips to avoid the busy roads and junctions close by which helped us not sit in more traffic. We made it through the white gate and I feel a bigger sign would be helpful as we felt like we were trespassing on the farm. Luckily, I spotted a small sign and knew we had one gate to go through to get to the cottage. We were slightly early but allowed to enter and given a box of cakes to eat which were all divine and enjoyed over the week by all. I love that all windows were open and air was flowing freely on such a hot day, which means they thought about our needs. Everywhere looked clean and fresh and we had enough space for 6 adults comfortably. Unfortunately my youngest didn't come to stay with us in the end and so we had even more space to use. Each bedroom has access to a bathroom which makes a huge difference. Our bed was incredibly comfy and so much space in the room to not feel restricted. My older son took the upstairs room which was also beautiful and roomy but quite creaky floorboards but not enough to wake you up but noticeable at times.
The kitchen was overly equipped and nothing was missing when we made meals and ample plates, pans etc..
The garden was lovely and for the few days when it was sunny we enjoyed the louger chairs on the grass. The hot tub stayed just warm, which was perfect for us, as when it's hot, it can be a bit much ( it did seem very loud at times, but I guess they all make noises)
We came and went as we pleased and had no issues with the cottage. Ideal base to travel to many places and see lots of lovely villages, castles and seaside resorts (Saltburn & Redcar were worth a visit as you can still get free parking!)
I wouldn't hesitate to visit again and would 100 % stay here and enjoy the comfort of the countryside.”
“Excellent cottage, really well furnished and very pleasant and helpful owners living next door.
In the remote village of Litton surrounding by beautiful countryside and breathtaking scenery.
Absolutely loved our week in this idilc setting.”
“We have been holidaying in Sykes properties for over 10 years now and with a few exceptions have always been well satisfied. We value the reviews left by previous visitors and always review the properties we visit. So far this year we have visited 3 properties which for their own special reasons we have awarded 5 stars. We have found Sykes easy to deal with and on a couple of occasions when we have had to contact customer services they have been polite and customer focused.”
“Beautiful little cottage in a stunning location overlooking Falmouth harbour..
Everything you need including little extras, the wine, flowers and shortbread are a lovely touch, as is having things like soap, tissues and kitchen condiments..
Very central to Falmouth town and everyting it has to offer as well as using local transport to neighbouring places.. We absolutely loved this cottage and Falmouth and most definitely we will be back . Thank you.”
“Nice house in quiet street...off street parking great. Lovely outside area (weather permitting).. cosy and comfortable.
Good size kitchen and conservatory for dining.
Need to replace both the old damaged frying pans however (as well as the light bulbs in the cooker hood so as to help overall illumination)
Else all very good!”
“Good range of properties, with an easy booking process managed through the app. The communication in the run up to the holiday and as the holiday was due to end was timely and useful.”
“We were a family of 18 ranging from 86 to 1 year old. We all had a fantastic time and wanted for nothing. There was plenty to entertain us and plenty of space. Mrs Jones was very helpful. Thoroughly recommend”
“Our stay at the Posh Pod was amazing, the pod is fully equipped and DJ always happy yo assist.
The bay is very pretty we had the best stay , one thing to mention that sykes don't, is the massive space at the side of the Pod perfect for doggies.
The Pod is very cosy befs are really comfy and it's so quite and peaceful, the photos don't really do this place justice it's so much better and the beach and costal path are literally over the field!”
