“Accurate descriptions of properties. Good email communication. I use the company successfully many times a year. I like the bonus scheme.
Harder to get to talk to someone on the phone than it used to be which can be a nuisance hence 4 stars”
“Lovely friendly welcome to the annex by Catherine it was so clean and well equipped. Bed extremely comfy. Have already booked our next holiday
Caroline & Neil.”
“We have stayed at several cottages from the Sykes website and all of them have been to a good standard. The information on the website is substantial and booking process is simple. Would recommend.”
“My last cottage was fabulous but I find the Customer Contact Pathways for Sykes’ customers are outdated and clunky making it frustratingly difficult to contact them if your query is not about an existing booking.”
“Perfect cottage, lovely and warm, home from home, a short walk into Whitby and a parking space. The new shower is great, already booked for next year.”
“We have gone away with Sykes many times now and are very happy with the places we booked, Sykes are very good with information and keeping you updated with everything. Would definitely recommend.”
“Great quiet position in town handy for the shops and also for the harbour and coastal path . Really nice living space for cooking , eating and relaxing. We appreciated the warm central heating as we stayed in February and kept nice and cosy. The only slight negative for us was the soft mattress in the double room but for many people it would not have been a problem.”
“There was a slight hiccup with Apartment 1, as it could not be resolved quickly the young lady who was sorting things out, quickly found us a very nice lodge, a few doors up. Cant fault anything, very welcoming, lovely area and accommodation. Always someone about ensuring things went smoothly.”
“Fantastic property in a fantastic location. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday is provided and when we had a problem with an electric appliance it was quickly resolved by the Sykes staff.”

Try to arrive in daylight as it can be slightly difficult locating the property in the dark!

The location is quite remote, along a single track road, with no immediate amenities. Village pubs/restaurants exist within 10 minutes drive

Excellent
The accommodation was spacious, clean and very well presented. With one en suite containing a beautiful bath and the other a spacious powerful shower, everyone's preference was accommodated.
Positioned in the grounds of the Manor house, the scenery and views are stunning. A great position for visiting all the Cotswolds favourite destinations. Burford, Boughton on the Water, Lower Slaughter. The heating was extremely effectively and ensured that you stayed snug and warm. Everything you would need in self catering accommodation.
The Black Horse Inn in Naunton Village served an excellent meal. On Thursdays outside the pub there is a mobile shop selling a wonderful selection of cheeses, pies etc.
If you like peace and tranquility in beautiful surrounding, I can strongly recommend.”
“Great location with lovely walks and a couple of good pubs on the doorstep, the big issue we had was driving in and out of the property, reversing out I backed into the rockery causing damage to my vehicle, it is a steep incline and not the easiest place to reverse as I found out. The only other issue was we were unable to use the conservatory due to its leaking when raining, looking at past comments this has been a problem for a while.”
“Only stayed one night as wasnt very well. Overall nice pod. Nicola very accommodating. Workmen further down hill spoilt the ambience Sykes should mention this when people book.”
