“I’ve been to this cottage on multiple occasions and have enjoyed every minute. Very clean and tidy. Has a great cooker and all the equipment you’ll need if you’re staying in the cook. Barnard Castle near by if you want to do a big shop at Morrisons or Lidl. Coop supermarket in town if you just want some bits.

“We are a group of 9 ladies and we had a lovely weekend at this property. The house is fabulous, was lovely and warm, which we all appreciated, as the weather was particularly wet and cold. Didn't stop us using the hot tub though!
The bedrooms were very well equipped and comfortable, and there was plenty of space downstairs, witha large games room, a living room and another room with squishy sofas, if we wanted to do separate things.
The kitchen is a superb space for a large group to gather, and the aga heated it brilliantly. It is very well equipped with crockery etc.
The owner lives onsite and he popped over to introduce himself, which was great and he also supplied us with a bluetooth speaker. Was very useful to know that we could contact him with any issues.
All in all we throughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return. Many thanks.”
“We had a brilliant time (second visit) the house was spotless. Frodsham is a lovely place to stay with lovely pubs an cafes in fact we are planning a third visit! So it must be GOOD.”

The cottage was in an ideal location as my parents live 2 mile away.
We celebrated Burns Night , dads 91st birthday and made special memories
We were warm and comfortable and enclosed garden was a bonus for the dogs

“The Annexe at Sykes Cottages is very well appointed, warm, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, cooker and lots more.
HOWEVER, I do not like the nagging at the end of the stay, basically clean up”

I recommend using the app it is really easy to book and manage your booking, and it as all the information you need and even shows how many days left to go till your holiday. I have used sykes a long time now and wouldn't book with anyone else ❤️”
“Easy to book and pay with Sykes. Sometimes their search filters aren’t adequate and they are slow to respond if you have an information request for something other than what is in their website description. Having said all that we have booked with them at least 8 times and will use them again.”
“This is a beautiful place in wonderful countryside. However we were greatly disappointed by the local management team. On two separate occasions we needed to contact them. Both mobile numbers rang out to eventually go to voicemail. Trying again, my wife was told that the contact was having "family time" and was not helpful. The owner got involved and was most helpful. The place is beautifully appointed and had everything we could need. We both feel the management team let it down.”
