“Comfortable for 5 adults and 2 children. Door handles a problem in downstairs WC. We had to buy a bath mat for en-suite shower, as the shower is very slippy.”
“The app is helpful in accessing i formation about the booking. I do think that Sykes could ensure a bit more standardisation of welcome packs & what is available at the accommodation. For example, I really don’t understand why tea towels aren’t provided. Some of the info about our cottage wasn’t correct - there wasn’t a pub within 2 mile. But we enjoyed our holiday & the owner was lovely.”

“Very clean and comfortable. Good location for harbour, shops and walks to the beaches and the river. Parking on street overnight, and free parking down near harbour during the day, though car parks are cheap too.”
“Beautiful Lodge. Everything thought of. Lovely little personal touch of milk biscuits crisps on arrival. Shower was amazing. Perfect for the dog who could just wander around.
Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen very well stocked. Hot tub was amazing after long day walking.

“I’ve used Sykes quite a few times now because I have dogs they are very helpful they do take a lot longer to answer the phone now as some things can’t be done online I’ve booked with them again for next year so they must be doing something right but if you have a problem booking they’ll sort it for you”

“We had a wonderful stay at Seaworthy. The cottage was roomy, generously equippped and very clean. Its also perfectly located just 15 mins walk from one of the loveliest bays in this part of Cornwall. My only criticism (which is why I gave this review 3* and not 5*) is that it is extremely difficult to get hold of Sykes itself if you have any housekeeping (or indeed other) queries. The telephone number simply rings out and in our experience has never been answered. The Whatsapp option has been variable - we got a quick reply immediately when we had a question about glass recycling but nothing (and in one case a rude reply) when we were asking whether beds could be made up for us. Email enquiries (about getting beds made up before we arrived) were responded to within about 48 hours but seemed formulaic and certainly didn't answer our question. Its a real pity. Sykes used to pride itself on its customer service - and indeed that was why we used Sykes rather than other holiday hire companies.”

“We visited Groomes County House with 7 adults and 2 children and thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic week away, the house was beyond amazing and we enjoyed every part of what the house had to offer. We loved the garden and hot tub, used the BBQ every night, the games room was also very popular. We completed many jigsaw puzzles and games nights at the huge table in the dining room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need and the bedrooms were extremely spacious and comfortable, all with en-suites which was an added bonus! Our hosts Pete and Jane were extremely friendly and helpful and we appreciate all their efforts to ensure we had the best week away. We had two lovely lunches at The Spotted Cow at Farnham which we would recommend, many local forests for nice walks out and a fab boat trip at Dapdune Wharf.”
