“We found Vicarage Cottage to be perfect - the accommodation was brilliant, lovely big, light and airy rooms and very clean. Everything was provided that we could have needed for our self catering holiday - pots, crockery etc and all good quality.
The garden was secure for our border collie and there were lovely local walks within a few minutes of leaving the cottage. Ideal location for visiting the truly beautiful beaches and countryside. Would highly recommend.”
“Ideally situated, well-furnished kitchen, modern bathroom & shower, all very comfortable. Plus a lovely front garden that we were able to enjoy fully thanks to the splendid weather. And the view on the Strait is first-class ! The owner has been very kind when I needed their help. I rented this cottage for the first time two years ago, came back with pleasure and will be back again ! Highly recommended.”
“Port Donnell cottage is a perfect place to enjoy the peace of Rockcliffe. The accommodation is spacious and tastefully decorated. There is everything you need in the kitchen and a good size table in the dining room for eating. We've been before and will go again. Our favourite thing is the shell beach where we spent many hours just watching and listening. We heard a cuckoo on our visit. We took our own fold up deck chairs rather than sit on the rocks this time. Although the garden is not totally secure it was fine for a black lab who doesn't wander. There was a deer in the garden some mornings.”
“Our late April stay was wonderful. The house is well appointed and well equipped and clean.The furnishings are well considered for for a family with dogs and the enclosed garden extremely helpfull. The location is peaceful with some gentle local walks in great scenery. The are pleantly of local attractions, waterfall walks, coffee shops etc and virtually everywhere we visited was dog friendly. I would happily recommend to friends and family.
If you have time a walk on Lunan or Montrose Bay and picking up a few Arbroath Smokies for breakfast on the way back is charming way of passing a day.”

“Kit's Cottage was such an unexpected treasure! The communication with the owners was always very helpful and pleasant. They had all you could need for a stay and welcome gifts. The cottage was updated with more modern amenities while staying true to the cottage esthetic and feel. The garden and views are amazing and so close to walking distance to the main streets. I thoroughly enjoyed this stay and wished it were available for my entire trip. I'd surely book here again if I have the opportunity to.”
“The property we stayed in was good / as described, but Skyes customer service isn't great - the phone number on site doesn't go anywhere, neither the chat or message function work, and when I finally got through via Facebook messenger the agent initially refused my request about late check-out without even checking if it was possible. They did eventually check but only after repeated (polite) questioning) and were not particularly friendly. I'd mentioned a few times in the chat how hard it was to get in contact with Sykes (ignored every time) and at the end of the chat I asked they passed on this feedback - and they ended the chat with no reply. Not great!”
“We had a great weekend at the Warren. The house is in a great location to explore the south of the Peak District. It is very nicely decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely little outside space.”
