“We had a wonderful week at Inshcraig. The cottage is warm and cosy, clean, bright and beautifully maintained and equipped. The location is a perfect balance, as its both quiet and remote enough to be a real getaway, but close enough to access all of the highlights of the stunning Cairngorms national park. We would highly recommend this cottage.”

A good description of the cottage was accurate.As a first time customer of Sykes Cottages we were impressed of the number of places and cottages available stating "pet free" accommodation which we need due to our allergies. The filter for the desired accommodation was excellent. We will definitely be booking another Sykes Holiday Cottage holiday again in the near future.”

“Pebble cottage is in beautiful Portreath with its Gorgeous beach,pubs ,cafés and lovely walks.
This cottage was clean and Tidy and well equipped.
Beds clean,comfortable and nicely decorated.
The cream tea left for us was a nice touch.
A few things could have been improved to make our stay more pleasant.
The smell coming from the upstairs ensuite bathroom was at times a little unpleasant.
The garden was full of weeds and a little neglected.
An offer of a change of towels / linen would have been nice after the 1st week of our 2 week stay.
It is a very old cottage so there is a smell of damp inside but the owners do their best to combat this with plug in air room fragrances and dehumidifiers .
Cottage has its own charm and we have stayed here a few times as we love Portreath.”

“The house was clean and tidy and perfect for the four of us. With both bathroom and a shower room we all hada choice.
The house was a short walk from shops, pub and Tesco so everything was easy to access.
The enclosed garden was ideal for our small dog and she enjoyed the walks around Freshwater and the walk to Yarmouth.
The house had everything in the kitchen that was needed and also had coffee machine dishwasher and washing machine.
A great place to stay to explore the Isle of Wight.”

“Had a lovely stay at Wottonsbury. Couldn't fault anything, facilities and equipement to meet every need.
Carpenters Arms in Ilsington within walking distance for meals, had one of the best steak pies ever, its busy, so best to book. Only down side, the very narrow lanes with towering hedges which we knew about, but they needed navigating for every outing. The wonderful views from cottage more than made up for them! Lots to do, explore the moor or visit the coast, Devon is on your doorstep.”
