“I was very apprehensive about taking my two doggies away by myself.
However I couldn't have chosen a better place. Dru met me on arrival, and is such a welcoming and helpful host. The pod had everything I could have needed for my 3 night stay, it was spotlessly clean and cosy. The large fenced area and beautiful views made my stay complete.
The dogs absolutely loved it and would have slept outside if allowed.
I will definitely be returning in the near future.”
“Lovely setting. Well equipped cottage. Great location to explore Weymouth area. We did have Issues with television as could not navigate the unconventional way that the freeview needed to be switched on. Rang and owner called back 5 mins after I left a message and tried to resolve. Someone came from the pub to help which resolved it for that evening but unable to use it again during the week.perhaps some in depth instruction is needed in the info book? Everything else was fine with cottage and had a lovely stay.”
“We had a wonderful stay at How End. The position is fantastic for accessing all sorts of areas without having to negotiate lots of challenging roads. We found so many beautiful walks, both popular and quiet. The house itself was gorgeous; the view from the huge window is stunning, but I could sit outside for hours looking across at the scene. Amenities were great. House had everything we needed, loads of crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment… loads of rooms and spaces to spread out if needed some quiet time and the numerous bathrooms meant there was never a queue! Would happily go back - just the most wonderful property in a fabulous situation. Thank you very much indeed!
A couple of minor things (but didn’t impact our stay overall) - the pool table has holes/wear in the felt and apparently the mattress in the red room (master bedroom) dipped in the middle so my in-laws rolled into each other (which they didn’t seem to overly appreciate!). Just a couple of things that might need a look. Aside from this it was truly wonderful and I could have stayed forever!”
“We stayed at Middleton Hall in the North Wing. The accommodation was clean and very impressive. Staff were on site most days to deal with any questions. The site included two fishing lakes and a small play area which was great for the kids.”
“LOVE Sykes Cottages. So many beautiful places available on this site for perfect stay cations. We try to book every year through Sykes and never had an issue yet! The functionality of the site when browsing and booking is so easy and straightforward. Thank you!”
“Vicky was very helpful. Polite and patient with the questions I asked about the property in question. The call regarding the booking took around 20 minutes, mainly due to the fact that I needed clarification regarding some details of the property. Call was handled well, and booking was completed.”
“Lovely property, it was spacious and clean. Perfect accommodation for a large family group with a great little playroom and enclosed garden. Beautiful views.”
“The booking process was really easy. I've booked holidays through Sykes a few times and they have never disappointed me. I've searched the internet for away places and Sykes is my go to favourite.”
“On our first, and only, experience of Sykes Cottages we would rate them very highly.
The self catering stay at Carn Eve in Sennenn Cove was excellent. All the facilities were exactlly as promised.
Although there was a "caretaker" ,Jason available we had no reason to call on hime and were left to enjoy a troublefree family holiday in beautiful surroundings All 13 of us.
Thanks.”
“Excellent all round. Easy to arrange and book. Great confirmation and details to keep you informed of everything. Properties I have booked have been great.”
“We hire hired all 3 barn conversions which gave us privacy and meant the children could roam freely between the properties. The properties were lovely and clean well maintained”
“Port Donnell in Rockcliffe, is in a beautiful location. The house was good in which to stay. The decor is a little tired and some loose wallpaper in the hall, required sticking down, before it caused any other issues.
A recommended destination.
The Sykes cottage website was difficult to navigate, in order to get answers to our questions. Telephone calls were then used and the time and complication of getting through was not easy.
Websites are never easy, when only used occassionally.”
