“We are loyal supporters of Sykes cottages. We have never been disappointed with the quality of cleanliness and comfort. Reminders are sent during the time between booking and departure date, this is really useful. On the few occasions that i have rung the company , if i have a query, the reply is swift-and not a robot in sight!”
“Sykes Cottages have always provided a very reliable and efficient service. Their communication is excellent and the holiday lets I have stayed in have always been of a very high standard. Highly recommend.”
“Had a wonderfull week. Loved being near and seeing the horses. Lovely accommodation. Very peacefull, except for when the dogs barked a bit but it did not dusturb us that much.
To give constructive feedback it would be to put a screen in the garden to shield the jaccusi from being overlooked from the house windows and fix the shower switch that is broken.
Apart from that , brilliant place to stay.”
“The cottage was very cosy and well presented. Ideal position for watching bird activity on the river, swans ,ducks& geese. Also swifts in the cliff behind the cottage. Very easy walk into both lower & upper Bridgnorth for pubs & shops. The countryside around is beautiful.Ludlow is well worth a trip, particularly when the market is on .”
“Lovely apartment, fantastic views, immaculately clean, everything worked as it should. Parking was easy and generally in a great location. Would recommend.”
“Of course. Here’s the revised version with that added in naturally:
Revised review
We stayed at Drifters last week and had a wonderful time. The house is in a fantastic position, tucked away in a peaceful location with stunning views across the dunes and towards the sea. It felt like a proper coastal escape, with the beach so close by and Winterton village within easy reach.
The property itself is stunning. It was spacious, beautifully presented and spotlessly clean on arrival. There was loads of room for everyone to relax, and the extra living spaces made a real difference. Every room is huge, even the bathrooms, which makes the whole house feel very comfortable and easy to enjoy.
When at the house, we spent most of our time at in the conservatory, which quickly became our favourite spot. It was perfect for breakfast, dinner, or just sitting and relaxing with the view. Even on a wet and windy day, I could quite happily have sat in there all day watching the drama of the weather outside over the dunes and sea. The hot tub was also a great bonus after a day out walking.
The house had everything we needed for the week, including Wi-Fi, a well-equipped kitchen, Sky TV and even a bottle of wine and box of chocolates on arrival with lots of practical touches that made the stay easy.
The location was perfect for getting out and exploring, you’re not far from all the things you want to do when visiting Norfolk. We had a brilliant day on the Broads from Richardson’s Boat Hire, went to see the seals at Hemsby, and also enjoyed being within easy reach of Norwich, which was only around 50 minutes away, and Great Yarmouth, which was about 20 minutes away. Poppylands 1940s-themed tearoom is also an absolute must-visit. Great chip shop in the village too.
Our two Cavapoo’s loved it, the garden is fully enclosed so they could be let out without worry of escape. A gate at the end of the garden takes you down 30 steps to the dunes with massive wide open spaces for the dogs to go crazy then leading to the dog friendly all year round beach.
The location made it easy to enjoy the best of the Norfolk coast and the Broads. We came away feeling properly rested and would happily recommend Drifters to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located coastal holiday home.
The owner was very helpful too, always available by phone or text if we had any questions.
We used Asda for our grocery delivery Friday evening, I’m sure the other supermarkets deliver there too.
A stunning house in a beautiful spot, and we will definitely be returning. In fact, we liked it so much, I wanted to buy it.”
“Excellent location and close to all shops and restaurants
House was well equipped and ideal for a large family
Beds were comfortable and all rooms were clean and tidy”
“Had a lovely week staying at Vintner’s Cottage, great welcome pack on arrival and a great place with comfortable beds to return to after exploring what the broads have to offer.Only a fifteen minute drive to a park and ride to Norwich , only five minutes to Acle with lovely riverside pub and local amenities.Reeedham only a few minutes away with great cafe and riverside pubs”
“The cottage is in a superb location right on the coast, extremely well equipped and beautifully presented. We enjoyed a very comfortable week when the weather was cold a very windy. We will return.”
“The lodge was cosy and comfortable. The facilities were very good, especially the hot tub. Our dogs were secure on the decking , which was important to us. The location of the lodge was good to visit lots of places in the area.”
“We have just spent 2 weeks at Courtyard Cottage. The cottage is extremely well equipped and the owners, Helen and Gordon, couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The cottage is in Peak Forest which is ideally placed for exploring the southern Peak District. We highly recommend this holiday cottage.”
“This house is amazing and more beautiful than the pictures. We shared the house with family friends (and had four under 5's altogether). We had lots of space to spread out, very toddler friendly and a gorgeous big garden for kids to run around in! I would 100% stay again.”
