“The flat was very nice, the entry was hard to find as two roads with the same name? We had to ask a passer by . The parking was a little tight with a pillar by the bay and a lockable metal one on the floor to avoid too. The outlook was lovely with the castle, but a lot of passing people walking dogs or kids on bikes as it seems a local walk through right by the windows, so didn't feel safe having windows open at night as on the ground floor. We had wet weather, don't think we could have coped if during a heat wave like this summer. The only other thing was the extractor fans didn't seem to work in either bathroom and no windows in there . Beds were comfy and flats nice and quiet.”

“Down a tiny byway and situated on the side of the track, this cottage is well supplied with everything one might need including a dishwasher. The kitchen diner is somewhat dark, although well lit and leads to the sitting room and then on to the spacious shower room. Upstairs is a king sized bed , some storage space and a loo in a cupboard. The common is nearby, but in July there is not much bird life except garden birds. The owner lives next door and is friendly and helpful.”

In 3 we had fabulous owners who left wonderful care packages so we didnt have to go out immediateyl and get some food.”
“We spent a fortnight at Woodstock Lodge, and were most impressed. We would definitely go back there again. Rachel could not have been more friendly and helpful. The lodge itself was clean and comfortable, and very well equipped, and clearly a lot of thought had gone into what people might need. ( Having stayed in rented holiday properties before, I had taken with me a box of (to me!) essentials, most of which I didn’t need.)
We chose this property primarily because of its location, as we used to live the area, and had family and friends we wished to visit. But because of my husband’s care needs it was better for us to have our own space, and the lodge was a perfect base for us.
The weather was hot, and yet we were never overheated in the lodge, as it was well shaded. Our spaniel was extremely happy too, as the beautiful Cannock Chase was just the other side of the farm gate, and we had long early morning walks each day along the many tracks and trails across the Chase, where there was also plenty of shade.
The location was very quiet and peaceful, and seeing horses pass by occasionally was a pleasure. The peacocks were also a pleasant surprise, especially on the first morning, when I came out of the lodge with my dog to find four peacocks immediately outside the gate, and two perched on the lodge roof when we returned from our walk!”

“This three bedroom cottage had everything my husband and I needed for our three week stay. The large living room had two comfortable sofas, the eat in kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was adequate and our large bedroom had plenty of closet and drawer storage. The view of the garden and Dales from the bedroom window was amazing. There was a table and chairs outside but we didn’t use them because they were uncomfortable. As we had hot weather during our stay it would have been nice to sit outside. Because we’re used to a 65” smart TV at home, the small outdated TV was a turn off in every sense of the word.
We ate at the charming pub in the village, the Forester’s Arms, twice. For fish and chips on Thursday and for Sunday lunch.
We have been visiting the Dales for over forty years and stayed in many cottages and can definitely say that Coverdale Cottage is one of the best. I would not hesitate to recommend this comfortable cottage.”

“From the moment we walked through the garden gate & saw the fantastic views we knew our holiday was going to be special.The hosts Nicola & Stephen were very welcoming & very friendly,always ready for a chat .The cottage was perfect,a lovely base for the holiday & we couldn't wait to get back at the end of our day to just sit out in the beautiful garden to soak up the views, the peace & just relax.For anyone who enjoys walking & hiking the area is perfect & there is a very good regular bus -service just a few yards from the cottage.Also loads of places to visit but a must is Haworth which is just over a mile away.I would definately recommend Sarah's Cottagen to friends & family.”
