“Our apartment was perfect for 2 people. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It was well stocked with essentials - soap, kitchen roll, detergent, cloths etc, as well as a welcome pack of milk , tea and coffee and wine! We particularly appreciated it being pet free. Easy free parking on site and well situated to see all the Northumberland coastal sites. Good food in the village pub and cafe too. We would happily stay there again.”
“We have used Sykes many times over the years and nearly always been very happy with them (the one exception being the owner of a cottage in Scotland who was very nasty after we had to cancel due to a road accident.
Our latest experience was Little Roskrow near Falmouth in Cornwall in September- and excellent cottage for two with very friendly owners. We were very happy with the whole experience from first booking to the end of our visit and would be more than happy to return if visiting the area again”
“Received an email from Sykes to say that we had a £40 discount to use on our next booking. After doing the said booking we tried to apply the code for the £40 discount only to be told we were getting £25 discount and no other discount could be applied. Now that’s fair enough: £40 on top of £25 is not to be expected, however we assumed that the £25 would not be applied and the £40 would be in its place. As stated this did not happen. Really poor to offer something and then not give it. Not impressed!”

“We stayed for a week in Pentreath Cottage, 2 adults and 2 teenage children. There was plenty of space for us, fantastic to have a bathroom each! The cottage is beautifully done up and very homely. Our only issue was that some of the radiators did not work and it did get a bit nippy in the evening.We visited in the last week of September, thankfully the days were sunny.
Kingsand and Cawsand are beautiful villages, I have been going there for over 50 years and never tire of the scenery. Lovely pubs and restaurants to eat in plus a small shop offering the basics and a deli. Would highly recommend the cottage, the stairs are quite steep so keep that in mind if stairs are not your thing! Very clean and a perfect location, a couple of the rooms have sea views which are delightful. Would definetly stay in Pentreath Cottage again.”
