“We had a great stay at Hagguard. Down a long lane, which the kids loved, the property is very clean, comfortable and well equiped with everything needed for our group of three adults and three children. It is in the perfect position for exploring this beautiful area and the hosts are very helpful with local information. We recommend this property and would definitely stay again if we return to the area.”
“Lovely cottage, well equipped and very quiet. Lots of local wildlife to view from the house. Only minor complaint was a TV remote with a mind of it's own and the path across the farmyard needed to be navigated catefully and would be difficult in a low down car.”
“Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped and comfortable. We were a party of five adults and really enjoyed our stay. Outside space with the dining area and hot tub was a relaxing spot, we even changed our plans one night from going out so that we could eat there and enjoy the surroundings. Highly recommend.”

“Excellent well appointed cottage but care needed when negotiating the bend on the steep stairs. Clean and comfortable. On road parking no problem but a steep flight of steps to the front door. Well situated for all village emenities and network of footpaths. Plan to stay there agin in 2027.”
“We had a wonderful stay at South Snowdon Wharf, the views sitting on the balcony are stunning looking over the harbour, it was fascinating watching the steam trains come and go filling up with coal and water, the apartment was clean and modern the only negative was the beds were a litte firm for our elderly bodies that said we would definately recommend.”
“It’s very easy to use Sykes Cottages website and there was lots of choice regarding holiday homes. The last holiday home we let was in a great location, immaculate inside and had everything you could possibly want. The only constructive feedback would be that the beds were hard.”

The lodges are just what we need & it is like home from home.
