I booked a short stay and realised that there was only one point of contact for the cottage owner.Im profoundly deaf and prefer to text/email. I contacted Sykes several times for advice. No help received . Disappointed.
The holiday cottages was lovely ,as was the owner, I would definitely consider staying there again.
However , Sykes I feel let down by your poor customer service.”
“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Easedale as always. I did email Sykes about 3 issues but didn’t receive acknowledgement so not sure it arrived. I booked through Lakelovers and I get confused as to who is who 🤔.”

“We had a fantastic week at AD Coach House in Fremington. We have stayed there many times and will no doubt do so again: it’s a comfortable, well equipped cottage, perfect for us, two people with a dog. We love the surroundings: Swaledale is a superb location for walking and enjoying the countryside. The cottage is also conveniently placed for frequenting the Bike cafe, just down the road: a not to be missed coffee and cake place with a friendly atmosphere. Altogether, we cannot recommend AD Coach House highly enough.”
“My second visit to Vallum Kiosk and I received another warm welcome from friendly owner Sam and Branston the characterful spaniel. Sam,although unobtrusive,was always on hand to answer any query.
The Kiosk was warm and comfortable, provided everything necessary for an enjoyable stay and is an ideal base from which to explore beautiful,historic Northumberland.
Haltwhistle a short distance away has good shops,rail station and a great,atmospheric pub the Black Bull - highly recommended.
In conclusion,I do hope to visit Northumberland again and I would definitely be looking to stay at Vallum Kiosk once more.”

“There was some mis-communication between the Owner of the property and Sykes. I was contacted on Friday 27 Feb by Sykes to inform us there was a problem with the heating in the property, we were due to arrive Monday 2nd March. I requested Sykes contact the Owner with some questions that I had. Sykes informed me later in the afternoon they had twice rang the Owner but had not received a reply. During a later subsequent conversation I had the same day with the Owner, she informed me Sykes had not tried to contact her, but that she contacted Sykes the previous Wednesday to explain the problem and to suggest you contact us to give his time to rebook somewhere else. As it turned out we did go ahead with the visit as the heating was fixed at the last moment but it was a frantic Friday afternoon trying to get it resolved where I had to do all the chasing.
I would request a discount on any further bookings we make with you for the stress and incionvenince caused as this was an 80th birthady celebration for 14 people.

“2 friends and I had a great time in Kilkenny and Lovers Lodge was the perfect base 4 bedrooms to choose from and a bathroom each so no waiting around to get out in the morning, and very reasonably priced wil definitely use again if back in Ireland”

(Bank Top Farm ) all have hot tubs beautiful views comfortable beds, everything needed to cook and then relax. The Coach House is real luxury have stayed several times now its for 4 people , you won't be disappointed Karl is very attentive and has your well being at the heart of your stay nothing is too much trouble - close to Ashbourne & garden centre and Denstone farm shop ideal for mini breaks or a week - walking in the fresh air countryside ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars”
