“This is the 2nd time we stayed at Larchfield chalet 2. It's in a beautifully secluded location just perfect for some peace & quiet. Both times we stayed have been in the winter & the chalet is lovely & toasty. It has everything you need if you're just wanting it as a base or for just staying in. Will definitely book again”

The cottage was warm and cosy. Being close to open fields was ideal for our dogs.”
“Loved every minute in this lovely cottage. It is well equipped, has everything you need to cook, keep it tidy( mop, vacuum-dog owners) and play and have an active time( game room, board games ,books), loads of throws and blankets, equipment for dog. A little back garden is fenced, so dogs and kids are safe. 2 minutes walk to a coastal path, 5 minutes to the little beach where young can meet people winter swimming. The owner was really helpful and welcoming, surprised us by providing a real christmas tree and decorations so we could put it up ourselves ❤️ There was a welcome pack too( wine and chocolates) and we were given some new kitchen equipment to use during our stay. Good contact with the owner anytime if we needed him (advice, recommendation what to visit etc).
The area itself is beautiful and people very friendly. Heating really good, shower hot and good pressure.

“Lovely little cottage with great views of the marshes. Comfy beds and a nice little welcome hamper. Unfortunately when we turned up the whole house smelt of paint, giving me an asthma attack on the first night. We opened the windows as much as we could but as it was super cold, it wasnt ideal for Christmas! By the time we left on saturday there was still a slight
smell of paint.”
“A good choice of places to stay and standard communications on booking generally good. Only downside is personal communication. Our booking for Christmas week was cancelled 5 days before by email, which we couldn’t reply to, and when I tried using the recommended WhatsApp route the replies (although allegedly from a real person) were clearly automated and I didn’t get any real response for two days. One I managed to get through to a real person by phone they were very helpful - explained reason for cancellation (no water or heating in the property) and after some discussion found us a very acceptable alternative”
“Lovely time at Stockbatch. The accommodation is very good for large parties, it has a farm house feel, warm throughout, with en-suite's in each bedroom. Kitchen fully equipped and 2 large fridges and ample cooker size, great for large parties. Spacious lounge and separate dining room, in addition kitchen tables for smaller groups for breakfast etc. Games room great, albeit cold for us in December. However, excited players soon warmed up!
Don't use google maps as the postcode sends you the wrong way, use what3words. Tesco delivery found us but went to the farm about 50m away. Driveway has potholes but manageable if taken slowly. WiFi limited reception and only really in kitchen and lounge. If WiFi had stronger signals throughout the house, it would encourage us to stay longer as some needed to 'work from home' in a quiet bedroom, on some days, either side of the weekend, but this would not be possible with existing WiFi signal, which is a shame.
Overall a lovely stay. We would recommend and looking to book again.”
“This is a really nice apartment very clean and modern with everything you need, the Christmas tree was a very nice thought for our stay over the Christmas period.
The allocated parking bay space was a real plus for secure parking during our stay I would certainly recommend this apartment it is only a ten minute walk into Whitby town centre. The host was very helpful when I had a minor query on access etc.
We will be returning for another stay hopefully in the very near future.”

“Cozy warm also clean to bit of a problem need a little more microwave dishes also light out side front door came back tea time but dark so needed light for key but I would definitely be there again very peaceful”
