“Like a previous reviewer, we wanted somewhere suitable for my 92 year old, and Beudy was top notch, but would work equally well for all ages. We had everything we needed in the cottage, and couldn't fault it in terms of facilities and also location. There are lovely views from the cottage and from the garden, and some great walks from the cottage that our cocker spaniel enjoyed with us. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with stunning beaches within easy reach - our favourites were Harlech (dog friendly) and Nerfyn. Would thoroughly recommend this place - nothing was too much trouble for Awen in terms of making us feel welcome and wanting to make our stay enjoyable.”
“We enjoyed our stay at Sunnyhill Cottage in Porthgain very much. Its position up above the village gave us great views and it was quiet. We were very warmly welcomed by the owners who live next door and who had left us Welsh cakes and milk. The accommodation was lovely - clean, spacious and very comfortable. And we would warmly recommend it. (There was a small issue with the shower but we mentioned it to the owners). We would be very happy to return there.”

“Lovely cottage, very nicely decorated and well equipped with small dining area, comfy sofa and brilliant shower. My only gripe was I didn't find my bed very comfy and woke up every morning at 4am with the light blazing through the skylight, had to buy an eye-mask to wear. It is a bit out in the sticks but views are lovely and its very peaceful.”
“Superb. Very comfortable and peaceful and good location away from the hustle and bustle but close to be able to whiz to the shops in 10 minutes or walk to the pub in 5.”
“A very nice property and we had a very comfortable stay, with beautiful views, but the access will restrict those to whom steps are a major problem. Also the wooden handrail is very much in need of attention as splinters could be easily picked up. Parking the car was a bit tricky but a very pleasant and helpful neighbour put us right and said that he would put some painted lines down to indicate parking positions more clearly. The garage would only hold a very small car, not a full estate car like ours. We also reported a very slow draining waste in the top floor shower which meant it could not be used on medium or full power.”
“A beautiful, rural property, in a chocolate box village, well equipped for everything you might need whilst on holiday. Good location for Salisbury, the New Forest, Stonehenge, the coast and all the lovely surrounding areas.”
“We found booking with Sykes good and easy to navigate online site. There was a glitch with their computers which had us concerned at one point but on phoning them they assured all was fine and everything went well, will use them again.”
“We recently stayed at Upper Tremorvah , our 2nd stay. Once again it didn’t disappoint . Great spacious apartment , the owners have looked after it beautifully . Very very comfy bed .
Of course the views up and down the River Dart and across to Kingwear from the windows are stunning.
We had one small issue and Sykes / Coast and Country fixed it within the hour . The staff in the office were incredibly nice .
Great spot to venture out to Salcombe / Totnes .
We had a great Sunday roast at The Castle , Rockfish is a fab restaurant , again great food and lovely staff .Also ate at The Steam Packet Inn across in Kingswear, 3mins on the ferry- excellent food.

No less importantly, the booking process just works and the cottage I've seen and paid for has always been the cottage I've arrived at and stayed in (thereby beating some other sites that could be mentioned!).”
