“Clean,comfortable and cosy. Everything needed was provided. Good location. Our only observation would be to supply better quality kitchen / toilet rolls. Would definitely recommend and would revisit if in the area.”
“The first thing we were met with was a dirty great stain on the doormat, also an empty toilet roll left on the kitchen worktop. The garden was nothing like its photo on the website, just not looked after.
But the real health issue for me, was the MOUSE TRAPS with rotten food in them, placed amongst the saucepans and cooking trays. Surely this is a health problem. I'm so glad I didn't find a dying mouse trapped there. The cleaner obviously was doing their job properly, and we found a tennis ball under the sofa. Also a white plastic container under the bed cover in dust. The decor was nice , but cleanliness needs to be addressed”
“Great house for our girls break in Polzeath! Lots of space for the 7 of us to fit comfortably. The location is spot on - just a 5/10 min walk down to the shops, restaurants, beach & sea. Thank you to the owner for granting our request to split beds into singles. One small request would be for owner to provide a small hand soap in each bathroom please :)”
“Beautiful house in an idyllic location.everything you need and the welcome pack - milk, wine, biscuits & chocolates a lovely touch. Beds very comfortable. Could do with a second shower in the main bathroom as only one shower for 6-8 guests which was in the ensuite, so had to go through one couples bedroom each time. The front of the house is understated as it is beautiful inside. Despite mixed reviews of the local pub, we had a great experience”

“A most wonderful holiday property. This property benefits from a fantastic location with changing Menai waterside views, beautifully decorated and a great layout and an extremely well equipped kitchen. On top of this there are little personal touches, such as bathrobes, hot water bottles and blankets for the colder evenings and an extensive welcome pack and fresh flowers that Elen the owner adds that make it perfect.
Private parking, a walk in shower and no stairs make it perfect for those with less mobility.
Elen also gave some good advice on trips out and where to eat.

“Stayed at Sunset Lodge and wow what a fantastic lodge. It was very comfortable, cosy and homely. Had a fully equipped kitchen, comfy sofas and beds and lovely bathrooms. Dawn was lovely and very helpful and let us know when the lodge was ready and ensured we arrived safely. Could ask her anything before or during our stay. Would highly recommend this lodge, definite wow factor when you walk through the door and lots to do in the area. The Kinema in the Woods is well worth a visit, such a quaint cinema very old fashioned, we loved it. Also if aeroplane fan well worth going to RAF Coningsby to watch typhoons, amazing sight.”
