“I have taken away a few things from course. A better understanding of the requirements and processes around approaching a suitable job opportunity within the Civil Service. There are many nuances which are different to the private sector. I have also picked up some extra learning around the best way to structure and best present my skills and experience in a more targeted way e.g. the STAR technique and interview practice which I found quite helpful. Overall, it was an good learning experience with a great cohort and a fabulous tutor.”

“The trainer was very helpful and supportive. The course gives in dept information on various business adminstrator roles and buseiness documents.This task base course was fun and very engaging
But seemed to be a bit stretched for some activities. 2 weeks seemed quite long for this course structure.
The topic below, advertised on the website, was not covered in the course.

“Some of the content was basic (ie steps to find a job or creating job alerts) asi feel most job seekers should know this already if they are actively looking. The insight provided by a speaker from the Civil Service was very useful and practical and so was the preperation for psychometric tests and writing a personal statement. I would like to see more insight into various roles and departments within the civil service as well as feedback on the various cultures within those departments.”

“I felt over all the training recieved was good. The tutor explaned things will, although I found he went a little too quickly for me to keep up. I would have like more thinking time with the multi-answer questions. But this wasn't a major issue as I had the time to go back and complete the answers.”
