“this was generally well-paced and well navigated by the coach. My major criticism is not of her, but of the material; there is a start-from-scratch component that is then levered into the needs of a Civil Service specific application process. Most of the course is relevant, but day 2 was questionable, especially as a lot of Civ Serv jobs aren't looking for a CV etc in that format. But overall it was a good experience, and Trina Brady was a big part of that, she's a very kind, patient, considerate coach.
One thing I would ask you to do is consider your IT, and those of your clients/students. Zoom can be very demanding on processor usage, and other apps will get very slow. The EmployabilityPlus website also has some issues with uploading documents - or not uploading them - and some elements of it are also very demanding on the CPU. I've had a problem all week with my computer freezing as the demand overwhelmed it. One discipline to adopt might be to ask all people in the room to mute microphones until invited to ask their questions; it helps with managing Zoom, for example, as it's not 'tracking the gallery'. I realise that there is a need for a register, and that initially this should be done with cameras on - but do they need to be on all the time? That also increases the demand Zoom will make on the computer.”

We were importantly informed that you really ahve to read every aspect of the job and the links that may occur at the bottom as all diferent government departments do vary the information they provide or the way they get you to complete the application. It was important to be aware of this.
It was made clear that practicing STAR and undertaking future mock intervoews I will take this course as it will be super useful.
