“The information and work set was delivered in a professional and patient manner for who learning styles.
I have been given some very useful key information to be able to make an informed decision for applying for any civil service roles in the furture”
“Joanathan was a very good instructor and helped keep everyone on track an focus, he outlilned what was expected during the day and kept us all upto date with progess.
Overall the couse is very well structured and presented in a worthwhile manner, a couple of points from me.
1. An overall progress sheet visually would help as some documentation is emailed and others on employability plus, i think this would also take some pressure off the instructor.
2. I asked if there could be a module or focus on transferrable skills in applying for roles, creation of a skills based/functional CV was not apparent.
Overall a very worthwhile course and time spent.
Thankyou”
“A great introduction to ways to gain knowledge and confidence when applying for a job whether for the first time or changing job and going in a new direction.
Help was given to compile a CV, covering letter or even for some position that require it a personal statement.
A brief introduction into workplace Health and Safety was given you give you a better understanding on the importance as to why rules and regulations are in force to protect employer and the employee.
I would highly reccomnend attending this 5 day course to help you along your path to gaining a job in 2024 and beyond.”
“The Strive Training was very useful, it thought me how to create a professional CV and cover letter. The course was well presented and it had all the information students needed. The tutor was excellent.”
“Slow but helpful. A lot of feedback was vague and despite my criteria being met, I was told I need to review answers despite this and there would be no comment by the tutor from this so this is not helpful.”
“My trainer was excellent.
He couldn't do anything with content as that was beyond him.
Most of us were disappointed with the facts heard from Civil service as we had though it would be a fairly adaptable thing.
The course didn't incorporate any tips for those who want to change careers
We were directed to National Careers service.
Maybe it is good to work with them just as you did with Civil Service.
The examples of situation test we undertook today was fab
I think a little bit more should be built into having real life trials at these areas where people struggle
How to write effective CV's would be fabulous too. We did do it but maybe not so much in depth as we had so much to do and a lot of homework to complete for our portfolio which is not a bad thing at all
Which is all great . Don't get me wrong
I am just feeding bak on expectations that weren't met and this doesn't suggest that the current model isn't good especially since we have people from all over and different entry levels to the course.
Having a go at the interviews were good, the breakout rooms where we had practice was good as we were able to assist each other and provide feedback”
“It’s been a worthwhile course that has given me good advice on job applications and interviews in general, as well as the Civil Service in particular.”
“The course wasn’t too difficult for me to understand and complete. The tutors explanations were very helpful and informative to help me understand each unit and how best to answer the questions. Overall, I would definitely do another course with strive training again in the future.”
