“After attending the course, I've learned how to effectively draft an impressive CV, tailoring it to the skills and behaviors required for specific job roles. I've gained a solid understanding of the job search process and how to use it efficiently to narrow down the positions I'm interested in. Additionally, I've learned the process of applying for Civil Service jobs and what's required for each role.
The course also covered various types of interviews and online tests that may be part of the application process. I now understand the STAR technique and how I'll be assessed on the skills and behaviors relevant to the role. Tutor Trina Brady was extremely professional, fair, and approachable. She explained everything in a simple, patient manner, ensuring we fully understood each topic.
After completing the course, I feel much more confident in finding a job within Civil Services. I now know what online resources are available to help me enhance my CV, cover letter, impact statements, personal statements, and behavior statements.”
