Well stocked spares. However £6.50 for a little plastic on/off switch seemed a tad expensive. Worse that these switches seem to fail regularly Admittedly not the fault of Merinal rather the manufacturer.

The website and ordering were fine however, we were not notified by email or text about when it would be delivered, the first we knew that the delivery was coming was when the driver called to say he was in our village and was looking to find our house. When the delivery driver turned up he was very grumpy and unhelpful. He insisted on leaving the pallet with the heater right in front of the front door despite the fact I asked him to leave it slightly to the side until my husband was able to come and move it.

Wrong delivery date given to me on the phone by company staff member so stayed in all day for nothing. After discovering tracking info online found correct delivery date. No reply to my email about convenient date. When delivery vehicle arrived it was driven by one lady only ( should be 2 people?!) The pallet was broken so my husband had to help with carriage of the heater from the vehicle!

Hi, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately some deliveries are taking longer than usual due to the driver shortages. Additionally, we can only apologise about the wrong day being given via phone call, I am not sure how we have done this. With regard to the single person delivery, It is stated on the delivery pages and within the delivery tab on product pages that orders are kerbside only, using a courier and in this case a palletised one. This is due to the weight of the consignment and insurance reasons. We can also only apologise about the pallet being broken and can only assume this happened during transit to you. I have checked our messaging system and cannot see any email about a delivery date? I am not sure if this has been blocked by our servers? I was disappointed that they had allowed water to get into the brick packaging, so there are rust stains on the bricks now (and I had to dry out the bricks before using them).

The original order was amended due to a stock shortage with the supplier, that was acceptable as an alternative was agreed and refund received however the delivery was significantly delayed and was next week not next day as advertised. The purchased items were delivered on a significantly different day to that agreed. The bricks were soaking wet and the packaging labels stuck to the bricks with rust stains from staples. They had been left outside presumably in a yard on a pallet for some time. These units were clearance and well priced but that was reflected in the condition of the bricks. The actual units themselves were fine and well packaged by the manufacturer. We have dried out the bricks now and assembled the units awaiting our Electrician to wire them up. Overall satisfied with the price but the logistics of delivery and storage clearly left much to be desired. Thank you.....

The storage heaters I bought are very nice but the delivery service was very poor. They rang me to say that the delivery would be on Saturday and I told them that as it was a holiday home no one was there until the Tuesday and he said there was no problem he would change my delivery date. I was rang on the Saturday to say they had arrived causing me a lot of stress and an unnecessary journey.

The ECOSSH408 has not only heated our upstairs office to a temperature higher than expected and therefore more than satisfactorily, but it has contributed to a warmer first floor of the whole house. The reason that I did not allocate more than an 'Acceptable' response to your survey, however, was due to the advice I received when I asked (I think to both manufacturer and supplier) "what KW output do we need for our space". I was simply asked the standard questions: what cubic area; what area of glass; how many outside walls; whether cavity filled etc. On each occasion I explained that the building is timber frame construction, double glazed, heavily insulated and includes a Motor Ventilation Heat Recovery system, all accepted methods of new-build schemes. On each occasion I was given the advice, to buy two 408 heaters. Had I followed this advice I would have paid twice as much as required and would no doubt have had too much heat. I do recommend that your staff are brought up to date about the latest building construction methods. Otherwise, I think your product is excellent and I think you should advocate the technical and economic advantages of this purchase in more detail.

The lorry driver who delivered the storage heater was very polite and apologetic that he was not allowed, because of H and S, to help me carry the unit up to the first floor for my flat. As an 80 year old I found the prospect of me having to carry the heater by myself a bit daunting.

We do state on all product pages, the delivery page and our Terms and conditions page that delivery is only curbside due to insurance reasons. As it was ordered online we shipped this on our standard next day delivery service and we can only assume that you had read the site and arranged suitable help. Ok it works but the set up in the controls stressful the instructions could be a bit better not quite certain how it works

However, you were not available for the first delivery and it was delivered on the next available day. Have you also tried calling Elnur UK's Technical team to help with programming your heater? Wouldn’t recommend - good build quality and gives good heat but it’s very deep compared with most storage heaters - plus whilst the fan is quiet it creates a background noise that just adds noise pollution to your environment. Would suite a basement or a large house whereby your not close to it.

The storage heater delivery was very problematic which was apparently due to the delivery firm, although the extreme weather events probably exacerbated the problem. I eventually asked to cancel the order and to have a refund so I could get alternative heating installed more quickly during the cold weather. I must say that despite the irritation of non-delivery, every time I rang the Storage Heater people they were extremely courteous, apologetic and helpful and the refund arrived back to me immediately. I guess Cornwall is just a long way from anywhere!

Polite staff, willing to help. Badly damaged packing, suspect on delivery from manufacturer. Slight damage to heater around vent, did not report as fitting on delivery. Could improve delivery, as most couriers can advise delivery a time within 30min of destination. Did allow telephone number to be added to invoice when advised on phone, but should be an automatic process at ordering.

Hi Sir, Sorry to hear you had damaged heater. We can replace the top grille on your storage heater. If you would like to call us on 01942 265041 we can get a replacement sorted for you. We are unable to give a time window due to the fact is is a palletised delivery therefor it can take different times do deliver each pallet. Also we use an external courier. Telephone numbers are added when you add your address whilst placing the order there is a box for telephone and fax numbers. The purchasing process was excellent . The sale's man knew what I was talking about . However , the delivery part that I was not happy with . The driver called me to say he was at my place and would see me down stairs since I live in a flat on the 1st floor . He offered to drop the item at the entrance to the building and not to the flat . He said that they would not deliver stuff to flats . I did state that my medical condition would not not allow me to carry heavy items . Anyway , he dropped the heater at the entrance and I ended up lifting the items with my wife up to the flat . Otherwise , everything else was really excellent .

the heaters look good but I was most surprised to find that they did not come with the necessary cable to fit them!!!!

Hi, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with the heater not coming with cable. However, no storage heater we supply comes with cable as it is too hard to say what distance the storage heater will be from the fused spur. It also limits the chance of someone who is not competent of fitting from trying to wire in the storage heater. This is not set by ourselves it is set by the manufacturers. Kind Regards Cory
