“The Sonarworks website was easy to navigate and provided all the information I needed about their range of products. They even had fully functional trial versions which you could try out to help make your decision. After purchase the support staff proactively looked to make sure I had all the best information to install and use the product and deal with any issues I had. Overall a great purchasing and product experience.”

“After investing in SoundID Reference for Headphones, I soon purchased the Virtual Monitoring add-on. Apart from the improved sound stage, the ability to quickly test my mixes and masters in various listening environments - car, computer/laptop and smartphone - was attractive. Perhaps I missed the explanation in my initial research on the Sonarworks website, but I was initially disappointed that this functionality was not already part of the initial SoundID Reference for Headphones software. The Virtual Monitoring add-on, however, was a small incremental investment and provides very useful advanced features.”

“I use Sonarworks for Headphones in my home studio where I compose and record original music. As that studio has minimal room treatment I needed something to help me improve my mixing and mastering processes. Sonarworks has a good reputation and its website provides comprehensive information about their sound referencing products. The online purchasing process was flawless and the installation of the SoundID Reference for Headphones went smoothly. Initially, I had a couple of usage questions which the support team helped me with promptly. It might be useful if some short online tutorial videos were available to illustrate different use-case scenarios - how to quickly move from using SoundID Reference as your output source to not. I use Rogue Amoeba's SoundSource utility to manage the different audio outputs I have in my studio and some experimentation was necessary to effectively integrate SoundID Reference into my ecosystem. When you first use the product, the audio improvements are immediately obvious.”

“I was having problems with an earlier version, however the support team was extremely helpful. When a beta version was released I was informed, and it solved the issues I experienced. Version 5.9.0 works flawlessly for me now.”

“The virtual monitoring doesnt work quite well. As soon as you turn it on then the quality of the sound its not fear. I cant trust my mixes using it. As I see, having a virtual environment its needed because of the binaural mix, but it need to mantain some how the linear character, and this doesnt do it. Otherhand it could be nice to vinculate it to a camera to track the head movement, and also hace any way to archieve each own HRTF curve. Hope you work with this, but right now I cant recomend the virtual monitoring to mix anythig.”

“Great product, but the sonarworks team was apparently unable to discern: 1) I purchased the product before the demo time ran out and 2) I responded to their survey already. I got a bunch of emails encouraging me to purchase after I HAD purchased. Then, having completed a survey and believing I'd get a break, I got today's email inviting me to take the survey. Ouch! In short: too much email spam. Again, great product, I love it, but please get your people (and your computers) communicating with one another.”
