It works mostly as expected, but it is not possible to export custom EQ settings as a simple text file. Only proprietary export functions for MERGING+ANUBIS interfaces. Not much fun to use with more than one computer.

i jumped from sonarworks 4 to id referance and my feeling is that s4 worked smooter than ID , less cpu , less clicks while changing speakers etc. as far could be better, wait for it!

Wish I could rate this higher. I used to use Reference 4 Systemwide on MAC OS and it was fantastic. I'm now on Windows 10 and SoundID is completely unusable. ASIO is incredibly glitchy, artifacts, lag, crashes... I uninstalled it and feel silly for biting on the Black Friday upgrade deal. Hopefully these things will be fixed as Reference 4 really was an amazing piece of kit.

Your app keeps crashing. Then you had me install an older version. That worked for a few days. Now the update keeps crashing. I am not pleased. I've spent a lot of money to get to this point and I cannot get the plug to work properly

I am satisfied with most software features besides one big bug that I have; the software keeps on disconnecting from the computer, playback engines stop recognizing the software whenever the computer is in sleep mode, sometimes randomly.

Hi Julia, Thanks for the review! The signal loss after computer sleep is a known issue in the latest release version and we are currently working on a fix for this. It would be great if you could submit a support request (link below); there are a couple of things we can do to troubleshoot and get the problem fixed quicker. https://www.sonarworks.com/support/new-ticket?brand=soundid-reference Thanks again, very much appreciated!

Software very sporadic. It has to be launched every time I seemed it if a session is left open. Routing is very glitchy- inconsistent. If you are not very persistent, you will give up. If it is working, it works very well

Fantastic product... when it works. I have so many issues with v5.0.x on macOS 10.15.7 that it makes you wonder if there is proper testing. For years I promoted Reference on specialty Fb groups but not anymore.

I own both Reference 4 and SoundID. The plug-in seems to work fine, but the systemwide versions crash often, and if they stay open, the buffering freaks out and audio chokes up forcing me to restart the software. I’ve had nothing but issues with the systemwide app for over a year now. Not happy about it.

So far, the product I have bought doesn't work (anymore?). My Windows audio device end point service goes mad every now and then, and it seems to be a problem with the current version of SoundID. I have contacted support and received various e-mails, of which one confirms that it's a problem with the current version, and the rest generic automatically created messages like, "We have received X", "Have we solved your problem?" and "How did we do?" The product itself is probably good. Once you can actually use it.

The concept here is brilliant. Game changing possibly. But unfortunatly it has serious draw backs. In the system wide set up (which is the most desirable application for it) It has constant audio glitches and drop outs which is very off putting and frankly embarrassing if i have a paying client in the studio. I have tried the suggested fixes with no success. it seems this is a known problem with out a fix that i can find. In addition the latency it put on to recording is an unacceptable and unusable amount. The latency whilst trying to record midi part makes the instrument unplayable. and i have to quite the sonarworks system wide application to record anything. Again i have tried suggested fixes with no success. A brilliant idea poorly executed.

Software is great , really useful tool Unfortunately when I could not get it running on my Mac 4 weeks ago I contacted support until this day I’m still waiting for a reply , Had to do hours of research and digging to find out how to fix the problem . Bottom line , software is amazing but don’t expect any support

I tried the trial version of sonarworks on my mac pro, (mojave) and works good. Then i purchased the full license and couldn´t even enter the serial key because for some reason the software doesn´t open up. The software is good but couldn´t make it work so i asked for a refund.

The product is pretty good, but for what it does and how it functions its way overpriced. I used the demo for the full term and got used to it so i went under a bit and purchased it, only to have it lock up and not work at all for a couple days. now close to 3 weeks later i still have gotten zero help from tech support. I ended up having to uninstall, route out every and all file and extensions and completely start over. Furthermore the iPhone app seems totally pointless and has no linkage to my full paid software version. I really wanted this to be the in-the-box DSP room tuning solution we've all been waiting for, and hopefully it will be, one day. The support just absolutely sucked, did i mention that?

There are several ergonomics problems i've noticed. First, the fact that it is not possible to load a preset from the app to the plug-in is really time consuming. Saving any preset on the plug-in is impossible (only the calibration profile can be loaded). If you monitor with several pairs of loudspeakers, it's a big problem... Other detail : It would be amazing if the plug-in window could have an adjustable size. The custom target mode is a very good idea, but it's a shame that the EQ that we can manually do is affected by the dry/wet mix and not effective outside the frequency range. If I hadn't so many acoustic problems because of my little room, I wouldn't have bought Sound ID.

I've tried without success to do a room measurement but the GUI won't stretch large enough for my to expose and access the "NEXT" button. So I can't do a measurement because I can't get past the Set-up page checklist of 48V etc...

Reference 4 was/is great and SoundID might be excellent too, but since I'm unable to activate my purchased copy because support is ignoring my request, I won't give more than 2 stars.
