“i was forced to upgrade from reference 4 to soundID just to be able to continue to use the software on Sonoma. I didn’t want or need any of SoundID features and was totally fine with Reference 4 but Sonarworks opted for the easy money grab of changing name to a software so they can charge their existing customers all over again. Not the first developer that scams people this way, it should be illegal, but since i have no other options i had to cave in. So i paid 90 euros just to keep it going. Nice move.. Not”

“The sound is amazing I just wish it would let me go a little further behind the scenes to what's going on in my room. And an option to allow us to slow down mic positioning to make it more accurate/consistent.”

“I always ask a lot of questions when I buy gear for my studio and the support team at Sonarworks have been very patient in answering my questions! Their responses were always prompt as well. I got Sound ID for speakers and headphones and it really makes a difference in trying to get an acurate monitoring environment. Thanks!”

“I find the Sonarworks website quite difficult to navigate, there are what feel like duplicate pages and it’s not extremely obvious what’s what at first pass. I ran the trial of Reference ID first to make sure I wanted it, and then shifted to the full version for headphones. The transition to the licensed version was slightly buggy, i ended up having to deactivate and reinstall the whole application. But after that it now works seamlessly, and is an essential part of my workflow. I haven’t contacted support centre, but I would recommend redesigning UX of website to make product differences clear, as well as clarifying instructions for upgrading to paid version which are somewhat vague.”

“I'm new to Sonarworks. I didn't understand that I needed a reference microphone before I downloaded the software for the free trial. I also needed to update the drivers for my interface. I reached out to support and they kindly extended my trial period to cover the time needed for delivery of my new microphone. Very professional and easy to work with!”
