“Finding information about student discount was a little difficult due to idiocy on my end, but all the information was there and process was relatively painless. Finding information about the software was easy, though I only learned about Sonarworks from my HND Music Production course and had some prior experience with it via University machines. I have not had the pleasure of contacting the support centre since everything has worked flawlessly. The website is easy to navigate and there are lots of well priced bundles, deals, and upgrades for SoundID are advertised just common enough.”

“Love the shopping experience, I was able to find the information pretty easy. I had a student discount in the beginning. It was easy to apply it and the respons that it was accepted was within 6 hours. So that was really qiuck. I had some problems with the installation (sounddriver was in a blocklist). I contacted support centre and they took the time to solve the problem with me. We had a lot of contact within a time period of 3 weeks. But the problem wasn't solved so they offered a team view to look together for the problem. After a teamviewer session with Zane my contact person within Sonorwork the problem was solved within 10 minutes. I was so happy that the didnt give up on me and kept in contact. I was so happy that I changed my student account in a full account because now I can use the plugin on several devices. Thank you so much sonarwork! Shout out to the support centre because without them I was still having problems with the plugin. Thank you for not giving up on me and keeping in touch untill the plugin worked!”

“The Sonarworks website is very easy to use, and their products generally have a very slick design. I had a bug once with SoundID Reference where the sound driver kept on crashing, so i had to restart it, but after the update it got fixed. So thats nice. I have no experience with the support centre yet, but i bet its great.”

“Unlike any of my other plugins, this needs an internet connection for license activation every 10 days or so. Solution - provide another option to customers to allow for offline use - dongle etc. If this is not an issue for you then you may find it a useful plugin.”

Hi, Thank you for reaching out! Our offline mechanism has been implemented this way to counter piracy. Unfortunately there is no workaround for the offline activation. “Absolutely useless. The company is unable to explain why there is an unbalance between the L/R channels when enabled. Furthermore, the software is causing some weird problem in the phase correlation and stereo image. I've sent a video explaining and documenting the problem to support, and nobody had been able to explain why it is happening or how to fix it. They also take many days to respond. Untruthworthy. How can anyone trust anything mixed or mastered through this software? Absolute bummer, as the technology seems impressive. Turned out is nothing more than snake oil.”

Hello, Thank you for reaching out! The left and right channels are measured independently and there could be nuances between both speakers that might cause the unbalance. I would double-check if there is any DSP feature built-in in the speakers themselves. If so, make sure to set it to the default values as they came from the factory - to their default values. The listening spot is a feature within SoundID Reference that accounts for the differences between monitors, disabling it could also improve the disbalance. If not, re-measuring and making sure that monitors are set the same should be worthwhile. Let us know if that helped!

“I discovered Sonarworks looking for the best "calibration" plugin tools for my headphones:I already owned a similar product from another company but I was looking for a different one which was compatible with my new Sennheiser 560S headphones. My only recommendation could be (if possible) to let new user have the possibility to experience the calibration software live by web app (some competitor do let have this possibility)”
