“Overall I’d say the service was really good. Very quick delivery and the site itself is really nice and simple and great to navigate. What feels a bit sterile is the lack of the personal customer service, just because you’re online and I’m/we’re buying online, we’re still your customers and we’re investing in your business. Give a little more back. Slam has changed so much and TBH I miss the old shop, it felt genuine and used to be a real treat as a kid and a young man to go in there and buy stuff... it was a real Skateshop and it was nice just to be in there let alone buy stuff. I know times change and the newer shop certainly has a different vibe, but you still Slam... you have history! So when people buy online or in the shop, Chuck in some extra stuff... slam stickers or a magazine, go that little bit extra. Loads of other smaller, less well known independents so this. I spent very nearly £200 with you the other day, and there wasn’t even a Slam City sticker. Also, if you’re going to be on social media... actually be social! Check your messages and comments and respond, be part of the community. It feels a bit more like buying from Route One now... like an online chain shop or high street retailer. And that’s a bit sad for such an iconic and globally known skate shop.”
