“Ordered Wednesday evening and paid next working day delivery for my sons wheels for a trip away over the weekend skating. Needed them for Friday but they didn’t come until Monday. Same happened for the items I ordered from another company.. don’t see the point of paying extra for delivery for it to come same time as free standard delivery”

“Item was available online ,ordered, confirmation received, waited for 5 days, no tracking number, no update received that item was out of stock. Slam City in the past few years had an outstanding service, maybe its a different crew now.”

“Shoe sizing was super small, I get a size 8 usually and these shoes were tight which is pretty surprising. Also because of this, I've had to pay to ship and return shipping which means I would have been better off buying from elsewhere.”

“The address was written wrong, so I had to go to North London Parcel Force Depot to collect it. My order also came in two deliveries. And it was delayed even tho I payed to get it for a certain date. It’s all good now, bit it was a bit of a hassle.”

“Workers of the World Unite! A postal strike presented itself to the United Kingdom in late August 2022. Unfortunately, my skate products never arrived or were postponed. Fortuitously, I cancelled my order. So the strike fell just in the nick of time for me. Workers at Her Majestys Royal Mail chose to go on a postal strike at a time I couldn't afford the product! An error of judgment pure and simple! But by whom? The refund that Slam City skates made to me was straightforward and made easy by Slam City Skates customer services. A refund was the best of all possible worlds! Ideally, I just need to stay within my budget! That way I'll extend my chances of avoiding PayPal debt. Making decisions about online commodities choices is like choosing choices which never arrive! Ultimately, not only am I glad workers of the world are uniting to make change. I'm also glad they products never arrived so that, I could therefore type out a confused and confusing review!”

“I purchased my order on the 27th of December 2021 and it has yet to arrive”

Hello William, Thank you for ordering with us and I apologise for the delay with your purchase, I can confirm your order was packed and shipped by us on time and unfortunately due to the bank holidays over the festive period it added a few additional days to deliver.

“Nice colour and look but there very tight I normally wear 5.5 trainers but they don’t feel like 5.5 more like a size 5 or 4.5 .”

“I bought a gift card for a present and it didn't come with an envelope. Once I emailed in, they said they couldn't send me one out ad they couldn't print anymore. The gift cards are made out of card so obviously don't want someone to tear the gift card whilst opening it. Bit rubbish really.”

“Unfortunately, a mixed review. I ordered a pair of rails for my son's birthday, ones he had selected from the webpage... the package arrived fine but there was only one rail, not the expected pair. I contacted Slam City the next morning, getting a reply the following morning to apologise and to promise to send out a new pair. This new pair did indeed arrive the next day, but unfortunately it was a different brand of rails from the one we had ordered... my son had specifically picked the ones he wanted, remember. So after two attempts, we now have one rail of the right brand and two of a non-preferred brand. Sure, they work... but ... Oh well.”

“It's a pity that I ordered 2 pairs the other day but canceled 1 pair. Cancel suddenly without an email to cancel. Is it taking too long to deliver and there is a problem with the delivery destination? I will not tell you unless you inquire about such an email. Are you willing to sell it?”

“one of the t-shirts I bought from the website was actually sold out, so I couldn't get it in the end, which delayed getting my whole order. So a separate t-shirt I ordered as a gift was late getting to me, and then was late being gifted to my friend.”

“I bought some trucks from here they said they were still Available and I bought them but they were out of stock and I got an email a week later telling me this , and to change trucks and did so and I’m still waiting for my purchased item to be delivered another week later .”

“The skate deck I received was not the same colour on top as I expected or shown in the picture on website. I called up and was told they come in different colours and they send them out randomly. It was not obvious when I bought it online and didn’t feel it was satisfactory or dealt with well by staff member when I called up to discuss it”

“The delivery box was half ripped when arrived and griptape was applied lousily with a chunk being work off already was not entirely impressed.”

“while there was an initial problem with actually shipping the board I ordered, that was resolved, however now that the board has arrived, there's an issue with the bushings in the trucks - on both trucks the bushings are bulging out and its causing for there to be one side of the board higher up than the other, so only 3 wheels are on the floor at a given time when resting. After skating on the board for a bit it seems like the bolt is just sinking further down and the bushings are bulging out more. The deck itself, hoever, is perfect and I love it.”

With brand new trucks this can often be the case for the first few skates, until the bushings in the truck wear in and loosen up. If you want tighter trucks we'd highly recommend upgrading the bushing to a harder bushing, to prevent the bulging you mention.
