“Bought skate shoes as a birthday gift. The outer box was branded, so it was lucky I answered the door on delivery and not the intended recipient, or it would have given the game away completely. On opening the packaging, the shoe box was badly damaged - tattered and torn. The tissue inside was similarly trashed. It all looked like it had been kicked around a lot - and as the outer package was undamaged, it was obviously like this before it was packaged up. it should never have been sent out in such a disgraceful state. The shoes seemed to be ok, at least - but I'm still waiting for recipient to confirm if he likes the shoes and wants to keep them.”

One item was advised as out of stock pretty much at the same time the other items were delivered which was not a real issue however a little odd I wasnt notified sooner. I replied to the email, however I did not get a reply about a replacement board, so I had to order from another shop as these were birthday gifts and there was a time factor involved. I have since requested a refund but as yet have had no notification. I have had no correspondance in”

“Ordered Wednesday evening and paid next working day delivery for my sons wheels for a trip away over the weekend skating. Needed them for Friday but they didn’t come until Monday. Same happened for the items I ordered from another company.. don’t see the point of paying extra for delivery for it to come same time as free standard delivery”

“Shoe sizing was super small, I get a size 8 usually and these shoes were tight which is pretty surprising. Also because of this, I've had to pay to ship and return shipping which means I would have been better off buying from elsewhere.”

“The address was written wrong, so I had to go to North London Parcel Force Depot to collect it. My order also came in two deliveries. And it was delayed even tho I payed to get it for a certain date. It’s all good now, bit it was a bit of a hassle.”

“Workers of the World Unite! A postal strike presented itself to the United Kingdom in late August 2022. Unfortunately, my skate products never arrived or were postponed. Fortuitously, I cancelled my order. So the strike fell just in the nick of time for me. Workers at Her Majestys Royal Mail chose to go on a postal strike at a time I couldn't afford the product! An error of judgment pure and simple! But by whom? The refund that Slam City skates made to me was straightforward and made easy by Slam City Skates customer services. A refund was the best of all possible worlds! Ideally, I just need to stay within my budget! That way I'll extend my chances of avoiding PayPal debt. Making decisions about online commodities choices is like choosing choices which never arrive! Ultimately, not only am I glad workers of the world are uniting to make change. I'm also glad they products never arrived so that, I could therefore type out a confused and confusing review!”

“I bought a gift card for a present and it didn't come with an envelope. Once I emailed in, they said they couldn't send me one out ad they couldn't print anymore. The gift cards are made out of card so obviously don't want someone to tear the gift card whilst opening it. Bit rubbish really.”

“Unfortunately, a mixed review. I ordered a pair of rails for my son's birthday, ones he had selected from the webpage... the package arrived fine but there was only one rail, not the expected pair. I contacted Slam City the next morning, getting a reply the following morning to apologise and to promise to send out a new pair. This new pair did indeed arrive the next day, but unfortunately it was a different brand of rails from the one we had ordered... my son had specifically picked the ones he wanted, remember. So after two attempts, we now have one rail of the right brand and two of a non-preferred brand. Sure, they work... but ... Oh well.”

“one of the t-shirts I bought from the website was actually sold out, so I couldn't get it in the end, which delayed getting my whole order. So a separate t-shirt I ordered as a gift was late getting to me, and then was late being gifted to my friend.”
