The blinds are very good quality. I ordered 2 blinds, one fitted perfectly but I had to modify the second one to fit. This could have been a result of my bad measurement.

Great ordering service Great lady who dealt with order Quick delivery Always informed Couple of fitting issues on my part dealt with over phone. Would prefer paper instructions rather than you tube hence 4 stars not 5. Just a personal.preference

Quite a large lantern blind needed for our kitchen. Everything arrived carefully packed and assembly began. The youtube videos were a great help to complete the installation. Small adjustment was necessary to get the blind to close completely but this was easily overcome and now works well.

All parcels were received on time and as expected. I was surprised to note that the only parts apparently made in the UK were some cut and (poorly) painted aluminium angle pieces. The actual blinds appeared to be manufactured in Dubai. I have no real problem with this, the one we have fitted works ok, although the remote control programming is a bit of a challenge and entirely unnecessary in our case. we just want a simple open and close control. They are not only self install, but also self assemble. not a problem really except that I feel for what you get, the pricing is pushing it somewhat. They should also make it clear that they are not the manufacturers, as they seem to suggest, but just a distributor.

Hi Michael thanks so much for your feedback. I am so sorry that you thought the quality of the angles was not up to standard I am so sorry about this. This is the first we have heard of this and we could have sent you new angles if we would have known. We do assemble and test the blinds in the factory but it is impossible to send the blinds fully assembled in transit. The blinds are made to measure but flat pack because of transit. We do not manufacture the blinds in house but work with factories all over the UK and abroad exclusively to offer you our specified product for your roof windows at a value for money price cutting out the expense of a blind fitter. With regards to the remote control the blinds are programmed and limits are set in the factory but sometimes things can change during transit and that is why we are here to help you over the phone.
We received our LanternLITE Honeycomb Open-view Blind ordered from Skylight blinds in good order, really well packaged & transported from Dubai. Assembly was fine, following the videos supplied by Skylight. It was tough to get the joints together, but this is a good thing as you don't want it loose! We had a long blind (over 2.2m) so the side runners have a join, therefore it can be a little snaggy over the join (hence 4 stars). WARNING: you must follow the company instructions and measure the RECESS opening, I didn't (I measured where we wanted to place it in the void) and therefore it was a very tight fit (my mistake). After some recess trimming, the blind has fitted well, looks & operates very well (we also have the Somfy Tahoma Switch which links to Amazon Alexa through the app). Note: It did require 3 persons to finally fit, 2 to hold & 1 to screw fix into position. The assistance from Naomi (Skylight POC UK based) was exceptional, helping us through all our queries & my mis-measurement frustrations. I would definitely recommend Skylight blinds. Note: we had other Somfy controlled devices in the house which we have now all connected to Tahoma Switch & Alexa RESULT!

Sky Fit -Easy to Fit? Installation instructions were unsuitable for my use. Had to figure it out myself. Correct fittings were supplied but not mentioned in the installation video. Pre-drilled side channels would have helped. It was difficult to ensure the holes were central to internal moulding which pulled the channel out of line if not correct. Blind tape take-up drums were not correctly aligned- a long way out in fact - I had to dismantle and correct it myself. Somfy electric motors are great. I already have had 6 in use elsewhere for a number of years. Can't fault the SkyLight Blinds sales team.

I have a small, wood frame Roto Frank skylight in my loft and this heatwave finally convinced me to try to find a blind to reduce the greenhouse effect. I was not optimistic, due to the age of the skylight, but discovered SkylightBlinds Direct and was able to source a perfect made-to-measure blind. It took 16 calendar days to arrive, which was slightly outside the estimate, but was well-packaged and of a high quality. Once I’d tried a dry-run, desktop fitting, I went for the real thing. The installation was fairly straightforward and was achieved with only 4 screws (supplied). The only reason I awarded 4 stars, and not 5, was because, although I was told I would be notified when the item dispatched, the only notification I received was from the courier on the day of delivery. Good, value for money blind.

Good service, reasonably priced, easy to put up. A bit tricky to get rid of last chink of light when pulling blinds down.

I purchased a Lantern LITE Openview which I must say I am extremely happy with. However when the item was delivered it was so well (and tightly) packed that I had some difficulty unpacking it. In the process of unpacking I accidentally nicked the cord. I actually contacted Skylightblinds twice to get a replacement cord. Both times I was told that a package had been posted. To this day I have never seen either of those packages. I ended up ordering some blind cord from good old Amazon got it the next day and got the blind fitted. In short blind 5*, customer service 0*.

The blinds themselves are very good, now that they are installed, and functioning, correctly. The service from the customer service team was great and the engineers were knowledgeable. Sadly we have had issues with the blinds due to, what turned out to be, three faulty motors in all three of our blinds. We have had them for nearly two years and they have been functioning correctly for about half that time. I have been up and down ladders charging and replacing battaries almost once a fortnight. I have had to have to lots of engineer visits and around 10 different batteries and all motors replaced to reach this point. But now they work they are great. Getting to this point was hard, but all the way the service was awesome, and friendly and helpful. The problem was unknown and we had to try so many options before working it out, but they worked with me to sort it, so very well done. I do recommend them, though if losing charge I suggest check the motor first! do make sure you measure properly as I have a small gap in the frame (my fault) and self install is OK if you are competent. I suggest using mains where possible and, although less pretty, put the battery below the blind, becuse if it runs out of juice while closed it is a pain to get to.

Customer service from Naomi was fantastic. Very prompt replies to all my emails... there were a few!! DPD messed up and "misplaced" my blinds, however they were received 3 days later than originally expected due to the perseverance of customer service. Highly recommended.

Delivery took longer than quoted on the website, easy to install blinds and good quality. No instructions included on how to pair remote with blinds but was provided within 24 hours when requested.
