On the day, Scott and his team of four did an amazing job, they were fast, didn't have a single breakage or damaged box and by 5pm everything was in and positioned, and that was a 120 mile move up the country.

“So much depends on the initial visit from the firm's surveyor. If he creates a bad impression then things will go no further. I recall one such visit when a surveyor sent to me was clearly minded on having a trip out and enjoying a cup of tea and a chat. He was in no hurry to get on with his business, and when the quotation arrived for my move from Devon to coastal Suffolk I wondered if his firm was planning on shipping my effects by sea by way of the Cape of Good Hope. The most expensive quotation doesn't mean the best service. For my most recent house move which was taken care of by Simon Long Removals the quotation I was given was the most competitive out of three, and I don't believe I could have been served better.
The surveyor's appraisal visit was friendly and professional. The boxes he promised to deliver were with me in good time and were all lovely and new—almost a pity to spoil them! When the removal took place it went exactly as expected. David and Carl, two Herculean gentlemen of the most helpful sort, turned up with a vehicle of the ideal size and made light work of moving heavy boxes and awkward furniture that would have floored most ordinary people foolishly confident that they could do it all perfectly easily themselves. Naturally there were no breakages or damage of any kind.
As it was to turn out, my planned removal ran into difficulties that could not have been foreseen. That is when you depend very much on being able to contact someone who will help keep things on track. Lyn, at the company's office, was the person who held it all together and made sure I always had a provisional date secured in advance that I knew I could rely on. I don't believe anyone could have been more patient and cheerfully efficient than Lyn.
So full marks to Simon Long Removals I found them in Yellow Pages and didn't use them on any recommendation. But I hope others will use them on mine.”
