“I was very satisfied with Simon Long in every way except one. They were good value, worked very hard in warm conditions, delivered everything safely and we're very courteous and helpful, throughout the process. There was only one slight issue that could have been better and that is communication regarding late arrival. The late arrival was not a major issue, but we were left waiting their arrival without any contact as to why. A simple phone call would have prevented the slight anxiety that this caused. I would recommend them.”
“We found damage to wardrobe door fixing and reported this at the time of moving. ( not sure if repairable).

“The whole process was handled professionally and with helpful cheery staff which made my first solo move as stress free as possible. Price quoted was very competitive and cardboard packing cases included, unlike some companies. My only gripe was that some keys to cupboards were lost. There were no gloves or masks worn and as it was the beginning of December in full pandemic this was worrying even though I was masked all the time. That said, the guys were cheerful and tremendously helpful and hard working and certainly earned their tips! I would use Simon Long again without hesitation.”
“Flexible and accomodating on run up to completion. Only downside was that on moving day we were constantly asked whether we had received the keys. This culminated in us being given the ultimatum that (to quote) "if you don't get the keys (to the property we were moving into) by 5pm we're leaving and you'll have to re-arrange delivery"! It's not difficult to imagine the extra stress created when the vendor's estate agent was only able to release the keys at 4.50pm....leaving just 10 minutes to spare!
That said, once they could move us in, they did, cheerfully and with care. Nice chaps (each got a tenner tip). On the whole, id recommend them....”
“Some crossed wires about timings on day of removal. Fortunately resolved quite quickly. Removal men were quick and efficient. Still awaiting removal of empty boxes, as I moved 'out of county'.”

“Overall the service was good. The removal people were prompt and friendly. They looked after our things well. However, our main criticism was that a lot was left in the old house. Mugs, tins of paint, ladders, kitchen things and other items. None of these had 'not for removal' labels so we are not sure why they were left.”
“Overall pretty good. No breakages whatsoever having the full packing service. Mark and young Josh did the packing on the Monday and come Tuesday the crew of four moved the lot. The only mark down is where a small kitchen cupboard (with the cat food ... most important) and two drawers in a centre island were accidently not emptied. Concept of dabbing a piece of sealing tape on a cupboard handle is good but flawed due to poor contrast visibility. The tape indicates the cupboard/drawers have been emptied. The system would be more foolproof if a brightly coloured piece of tape was used. Overall we are very pleased with the service of Simon Long. Debbie in the booking office was so helpful and kept us informed along the process.
PS. Mark and Josh were most concerned about the forgotten drawer incident and were very willing to go back - though this proved unnecessary.”

“Rather than pack items ourselves we chose the full packing service. The day before our removal two guys arrived with an enormous truck which the driver skillfully managed to reverse into our drive. They spent the day carefully packing all the items into boxes. They then returned the following day and carefully loaded the truck with all our belongings. By 2.00pm they had finished loading and drove the truck to our new home a half mile away. Then the unpacking began. My wife directed the team which by now had risen to six and they put the items where she wanted them to go. All were very polite and helpful and drank lots of tea and coffee.”
