Terrible, our admin team filled in the questionnaire as soon as it was available to get a email back stating it will take over 4 weeks (which would make us late for all our suppliers) and if we wanted it in 2 days we would need to pay and additional £125.00

Thank you for your review, and congratulations on your SafeContractor accreditation. Our standard audit time taken from all documents being submitted is 4 weeks for an auditor to complete your h&s assessment. Our team endeavour to assess all questionnaires as quickly as possible and to provide as much assistance as possible. However if you would like to upgrade your package to have an express audit included or to include assistance from our team of expert IOSH and NEBOSH qualified auditors then this option is available to you also. To make the process faster next year, we recommend updating your documents throughout the year via our online portal, ready for when the questionnaire can be submitted 30 days before expiry. If you have any further queries about how this works then please don't hesitate to get in touch with our team directly.

Extremely tedious, repetive information has to be submitted. Auditors opinions vary on submissions, the whole process this year took over 4 months!

Online portal doesn't work. Continually rejects password at login and have to reset (I use a password manager - I'm not forgetting my password). Can't view of load up documents. SafeContractor says it's not their problem and won't sort it out. Accreditation process takes no account of the small size of our company and misapplies H&S requirements. Not flexible in respect of work type, has to fit their rigid definitions, rather than fit to you.

Thank you for your feedback. I have investigated this with our audit and membership team leaders. Your accreditation application was sent to us by a third party, OJ Health & Safety Solutions Ltd. As your payment was made directly to them, we are unable to deviate from the membership package stipulated or to adjust the payment on your behalf. We have sent your details into them and recommend picking this up with your contact directly. Please accept our sincere apologies for any confusion caused by this. Please also be advised that you can gain a full SafeContractor accreditation to FastTrack to other SSIP schemes with up to a 77% discount. Jex have been working with Safe Contractor for many years without any difficulties therefore you would expect this year to be no different apart from the problems running the business around the recent pandemic. Not so, one particular area of the Jex business is our capability to design and create bespoke equipment to meet client requirements, this I thought was clearly demonstrated by submitting working drawings, showing how we built safety into the finished items. Qualifications were also uploaded to demonstrate the competence of the people working in that section, these were not accepted by the auditor, simply ignored with a persistent demand for evidence of CPD and NVQs. We have only 2 designers full time, who between them, have 60 years’ experience and more, none of which seemed to count for very much in the eyes of the auditor. Jex have for many years worked very closely with client requirements, demonstrated by continuing work at the highest standards, mostly with the same clients year in year out. Once again this did not satisfy the auditors insistence on the requirement for NVQs and CPD. Sadly, in order to move on and complete our accreditation I had no alternative but to remove the designer section form our audit. Jex continue to design equipment to a very high standard, hopefully not having it on our certificate shall not cause too many problems following discussions with our major clients as to reason why.

I find Alcumus over priced and very slow with the Audit process so they can try to charge even more money. CHAS took a couple off days and did all the work.

Got to be the worst company we have ever had the miss fortune to have to deal with. the only thing excel at is chasing for money. There seems to be no coordination within the company and the same questions are asked over and over again.

Thank you for leaving us your feedback. I've looked into your account and can see that you were sent cancellation communications in error as our team missed an extension added to your account to achieve your accreditation first. Please accept our sincere apologies for this error and we hope that the 20% discount at renewal applied by our Account Executive team and your subsequent accreditation following support by our dedicated Auditor team has set you up for a year of seeing what SafeContractor can do for your business in terms of enhancing your reputation for h&s compliance and helping you to win more work. Once again please accept our apologies for any issues with your account renewal and we thank you for maintaining your membership following this and going on to achieve accreditation - congratulations!

Where do I start It took me years to build up confidence in Safe Contractor and there was always consistency and help at hand. I built up a really strong relationship with Bradley Evans and I recommended 22 companies to Safe Contractor. The service now is a shambles. Only you lot know why that is but you did not like my criticism so chose instead to use Bully Boy tactics. I will be strongly recommending to ALL my clients that Safe Contractor is a shambles and should be avoided like the plague

Poor Experience. Asked to pay more to get certified quicker, which we never accept as I do not believe you should be paid to do your job quicker. Advised very latest date we would receive certification - in my experience it is always the last day probably to get you to pay for a better service next time. Doesn't work we are gong to switch our SSIP accreditation to elsewhere. This time around certification was a day after the final date given. No offer to pay me back for the inconvenience though

The whole process is flawed and this is frustrating and potentially damaging for our company. I cannot send my online renewal until 1 month before the expiry date but then it can take up to 6 weeks for you to do the assessment. As happened this year, our accreditation expired, we had customers chasing a copy of our certificate and had nothing to give them - it makes us look unprofessional. Yet if we pay more, we can get it done in 2 days! Why should we when the basic service should get it done in ample time? I only got the accreditation approved once I chased it which was 5 days after it had expired.

Not able to to update portal with new or updated documents until 1 month before expiry. This does not give enough time to get authorised within the month period as you have a 25 working day time for accreditation! Was especially challenging for me as my 25 working days were over the Christmas period and you had shutdown for 2 weeks!

A very long drawn out process, where many documents were asked for which were not appropriate to our company. The company agressively chases you for money 5 months before your certificate expires. Would strongly not reccomend.

Very over complicated audit process. Different inconsistent auditors every year means answering different questions each year resubmitting docs already provided & being asked for new things never previously requested. It's frustrating

Appalled by how the Company we use to gain our accreditation through charges us a fee for the service but the review process is 20 working days so we effectively have to wait a month for our accreditation to be approved unless we pay an addition "express" fee so they look at it within 2 days. Knowing how key this accreditation is to small businesses an in many instances you are placed on stop if this accreditation expires is tantamount to holding you to ransom and extorting an extra few hundred quid out of you. We will be looking to move to another provider with immediate effect but this is something safe contractor need to be aware is happening.

Paid renewal fee in May, told I could access the questionnaire on 2.9.19 and received email to confirm this on 2.9.19. When questionnaire was submitted I was informed audit would take up to 20 working days. As our accreditation expired on 1.10 our questionnaire would have had to be submitted the same day to guarantee continual cover. Thus forced to pay for an express service as our clients require SSIP in place to allocate works. Told I would get a response within 48 working hours, this was not kept and additional information was requested 3 times to actually get approval. If you have such a delay on your audits questionnaires should be available in advance of 30 days
