“Sadly, Ringtons have discontinued the 40 one-cup packets of Redbush Tea 100g. These packets of tea, for a long time, cost £1.85p, then the price gradually increased to £2.16p before disappearing from their website.
These packets have now been replaced with 20 bags of Sweet Redbush tea 50g in a fancy box for the price of £1.60p. Two boxes of these fancy boxed tea bags = £3.20p, a £1.04 increase in price for the same 40 tea bags in the now discontinued foil packaging. I use 400 of these Redbush tea bags in one month. Regretfully, I will now have to source my tea from elsewhere as Ringtons Tea Merchants appear to be becoming more of a novelty tea, biscuit, jam, chocolate seller instead. Superb quality tea, shame about the huge increase in price.”
We're incredibly sorry to hear you're disappointed with our Redbush Tea. The decision to change the format wasn’t an easy one, but it was made with the best intentions.
The decision to align our Redbush Tea with the same 20-teabag packaging as our herbal and fruit infusions was based on customer research, which indicated a preference for smaller pack sizes due to less frequent consumption. While the pricing is consistent with our other 20-teabag packs, we completely understand that this may not be ideal for everyone.
We are collating all feedback at this point with regards to our revised teas/packaging, and this will certainly be taken into consideration.
