“I made a Christmas order on November 27th for a parcel to be delivered to an address in Italy. I asked on email and also queried to Customer Service if this would be possible. On both ocassions I was told my parcel would be delivered without any problems. Two days before Christmas the order was tracked to still be in Maidstone and would not reach Italy until December 30th. I was given a full refund because of the delay but was told my gift would still be delivered. In the new year I get emails from DHL in Italy asking for more money to deliver my parcel. Customer Service passed my details over to an Ecommerce Trading Assistant who tells me there is nothing they can do. Apparently everything is in the small print and that the 'majority' of overseas parcels get to their destinations, which I find a bizarre admission to make. All parcels should be delivered not the majority. In my view Ringstons are supposedly a reputable company who I believed I could trust. They pride themselves on delivery, but this heritage brand is not telling their customers the whole truth when it comes to overseas delivery. I will not be using them again.”
