“We are semi-serious coffee drinkers with a Sage Oracle espresso maker. We only drink decaf coffee at home and so that's what goes in the hopper and there's not really much scope for swapping between decaf and caffeine beans. (I know it can be done by not filling the hopper and weighing the beans for each cup but we're not coffee anaraks!) So, we want a freshly roasted decaf that does for all.
We are always trying different decaf beans from roasteries we come across but they seem to be getting more and more costly and not really candidates for regular use - we use about 1Kg every 8 to 10 days.
How refreshing, then, to find Rave whose decaf beans pack a punch, are freshly roasted and do not break the bank. I am trying a regular delivery which attracts a discount and doesn't add postage. They are better than my previous go-to supply of not freshly roast from the supermarket.
Another interesting aspect is that the beans have such flavour that I have the option to serve 2 (albeit smaller) cups from one extraction so economising on how much we drink and spend.”
