“I have enjoyed having books from Rare birds. Choosing book or A or book B each month gives you a little control, but all the books I have read have been great. It's a great way to find new authors and books you might not have chosen normally”

I love the ethos and am always excited to choose my book and recieve it. The books are varied and it's a great way to read new things that I wouldn't usually come across or pick up. “I am a keen reader who always has at least two or three books on the go, but I admit to doing most of that reading on my Kindle, so it has been a forgotten pleasure to hold an actual print and paper book again, to admire the cover, to watch my physical progress through the book and even to smell the newness of the pages! I love being introduced to writers and titles I’d probably never have chosen myself and to feel challenged into really thinking about them, whether I like them or not (and if not, why). A slight hitch with my second order necessitated a phone call to the bookshop which responded promptly and politely. Some issues with damaged packaging due to courier or postman delivering through letterbox (even though I was in) but the books themselves have so far been unharmed.”
