“My colleagues got me a Rare Birds subscription for my birthday - I love it! Really enjoying the mystery of choosing book A/B and seeing what arrives. It’s especially pleasing that they are all by female authors. All the books so far have been great reads and I’ve flown through them. Such a good idea and beautifully executed.”

“Each book arrives beautifully wrapped and the unwrapping adds to the surprise element of discovering which book you have received that month. I like the simplicity of the format - with only two choices to choose from, it makes selecting a book much easier - there is usually one I gravitate to more than the other. I have enjoyed every book I have received so far and I like discovering authors that I may not have otherwise found.”

I have enjoyed choosing a book each month without knowing the title or the author and each one has been an excellent choice. The book club element adds to the concept if you have the time t take advantage of this.”

“I absolutely love the Rare Birds Book Club! I received a subscription as a present and it was such a lovely surprise for me. I received books that I probably would have never read otherwise and I am so happy about it. I think that choosing between the two bundles is definitely what makes the book club even more exciting. I always look forward to the 25th of the month to read all about the book I chose, what other people thought about it and, of course, the recommended reading as well. Absolutely recommended!”

“My sister in law got me a 3 month subscription and it's quite honestly the best present I've ever had. I have told all my book loving friends about it and I know they have also bought the subscription as a gift. It's so exciting to get the email saying the next book is due and you get two genres to choose from A or B, the genres are described giving nothing away but likening them to other books you may have read, each month the book I have received has been spot on. I've also had a mystery book and this was something I would never have chosen myself but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a fabulous idea, thank you Rare Birds”

“I was gifted a subscription to the Rare Birds Book Club for my birthday and so far it has been an excellent experience. Choosing my book each month is so exciting, as is the moment when it arrives, beautifully packaged. The books so far have been ones that I would probably never have picked up but all have been thoroughly good reads, with the extra content in the discussion groups a welcome bonus. The bookmarks are helpful too!”

I feel pure joy and happiness when the wee parcel arrives, beautifully wrapped with a matching card and bookmark. It’s such a great experience and a lovely treat every month that I very much look forward to. It’s great to discover new writers and stories. “I love Rare Birds book club. I find choosing a book out of two deliberately secretive descriptions incredibly exciting each month. The member’s area is also great, where you can discuss your views of the books, read the author interviews and read the Rare Bird’s break down of the monthly books. Following Rare Birds has become part of my daily routine. I have found so many wonderful books thanks to them. I wish I lived closer to their shop!”
