completely unprofessional the sales staff will sell you a lie that certain carpet we have at our warehouse and that they can sort out a fitting date in 7-10 days im now still waiting 3 weeks later. we have had to call repeatedly to find out whats happening only to be told ill get logistics to call you. (logistics btw is whoever they can sub contract in to fit your carpet) all they had were excuses! not happy i have now been told it will be fitted monday although i am extremely doubtful. poor communication poor logistics poor excuses shambles of a company. UPDATE: so they did arrive on the second organised date and on time, i have no issues with the install and the fitters they sent (well fitted and left clean and tidy), we had a small issue with the carpet size but issue was resolved promptly with another delivered. second time round the communication was better. would i reccommend to people? unsure at the moment but as i need the same carpert in my bedroom i will probably give them a chance. no fault the second fitters they sent 10/10 no issues with the product 10/10 all I'll have an issue with was communication and logistics. (i also do understand van brakedowns happen but i doesnt take 9hrs to source a replacement or update the client) just be honest, people have to organise alot in prep for a carpet fitting, it is highly irratating to be messed around all day and to chase the product you've spent not a small amout of money on, is my only advice to them.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns regarding your recent experience. I sincerely apologise for the frustrations you’ve faced and appreciate your patience throughout this process. Unfortunately, our fitter’s van broke down unexpectedly, which led to the need to hire a new van and transfer all of his tools and materials. We understand how disruptive this can be, and once he had made the switch, he was eager to come and fit your carpet that same evening. However, we respect your preference not to proceed at that time. In light of this, we offered Friday or Saturday morning for a fitting, but we understand that those options did not meet your availability. I am glad to confirm that we have now arranged for the fitting to take place on Monday morning. I assure you that we are doing everything possible to ensure this goes smoothly and that the work meets your expectations. I want to clarify that we strive to provide transparency and accurate timelines to our customers. I apologise if there was any miscommunication regarding the availability of the carpet or the fitting schedule. We take your feedback seriously and will work to improve our communication and logistics moving forward. Once again, I truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If you have any further concerns or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.

[26/10, 17:34] BERKLEY MCQUAID: 1. Was told in the shop they’d butt up to my skirting boards and I wouldn’t need them taking off. 2. I asked for another sample of flooring as I were undecided and was told Joe would drop it off on his way home, this never happened. 3. never received a confirmation email of my order like my daughter did. 4. I had to chase up numerous times when the delivery of materials were coming and never had confirmation and when they finally arrived unannounced I was told Joe would drop the flooring off the next day after work on his way home again this never happened. 5. The karndean flooring has been fitted and I now have lumps in areas of the flooring and big gaps under my skirting boards which I never had prior to this flooring being laid. 6. I recall the fitter saying to me they didn’t have enough stuff to level the floor anyway! 7. He told me I could just caulk the gaps! 8. I’ve had a professional decorator come to look and he’s said there is no way you can caulk those areas the gaps are far too big and it’s my main walk way and would just crack! 9. The carpet fitter rang me to say he was coming to fit the carpets however I’d not been told previously and all my furniture was still in the room so I had to tell him to come another day to give me chance to remove the furniture again no communication previously with me about when fitting would happen! 10. The old bedroom carpet was still down when the fitter arrived so he knew the cable ran under the carpet! Once fitted I came back to look and he’d left this laid on top of the new carpet! Obviously he couldn’t be bothered to then take the carpet back up to correct so he’s lied and made out that the wire was never under the old carpet which it has been for years!! 11. The living room carpet now has a slight ramp near the kitchen door! Again this wasn’t the case before so why now does it have an incline!! 12. All of the fitters who came to my property didn’t have a good word to say about pyramid they said it’s a circus in the shop and no communication at all, one of the carpet fitters even implied your prices are ripping customers off and told me to go directly with him next time- obviously that won’t be happening seen as he can’t do a simple task of putting a cable under a carpet and then lying to me saying it’s a fire hazard!! I’ve lived in my home for over 40 years and had numerous carpets and no carpet fitter as ever had a problem with laying cables underneath!! Overall as you can imagine I haven’t received the best service at all and it’s been very stressful, it should be exciting getting new flooring and carpet but it’s caused me nothing but anxiety and stress and I want this work corrected to a high standard I expected. [26/10, 17:37] BERKLEY MCQUAID: Hi Chris Vicki has written above the issues and I am here with a large 2 metre spirit level & the floor clearly hasn't been levelled before the Karndean flooring was fitted. Vicki would like you to come Monday at any time avoiding school runs so between 9 and half past 2 or after 5 any night please

Dear Berkely, I wanted to take a moment to sincerely apologise for the issues you have encountered. It’s always our aim to provide exceptional service, and I truly regret that we fell short in this instance. As per our previous discussion, I would like to reiterate our commitment to rectifying the problems you've highlighted, specifically the gaps under the skirting boards and the ridge in the carpet. We take your concerns seriously and have agreed to rectify the issues. I am pleased to inform you that we have arranged for our carpet fitter to visit on Monday to place the cable under the carpet. While I appreciate your feedback, I feel that your review may not fully reflect the fact that we are taking the necessary steps to resolve these matters. Your satisfaction is of utmost importance to us, and we are dedicated to making it right. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this process. If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss this matter in more detail, please do not hesitate to contact us

Avoid. After spending £2000 on carpet for my home, I politely requested a refitting for my staircase. Instead of working with me to address my concerns, I was met with argumentative responses, requests for photos, and accusing me of poor communication. It was quite frankly, shocking. The carpet is already coming loose after 6 days. I would advise to avoid this company at all costs, especially if you’re a single woman. It’s frustrating to see their FB page, hosting corporate parties for their big clients when they wouldn’t accommodate me, a regular mom, with a disabled child. No apologies. No follow up. Instead, blocked me from their FB page for making 2 simple comments about my experience. Extraordinarily disrespectful.

Had some vinyl floor laid and it took six weeks after paying for it for it to be fitted - poor communication from the company. Now it has been fitted it has wrinkled in parts, it lifts up when being vacuumed and I was charged for two door bars that weren't even fitted! I contacted the shop but the matter hasn't been resolved to my satisfaction. Very unprofessional and uncaring company. I won't use them again and cannot recommend them at all.

Feb 2022 – Pyramid fitters fitted carpet (already in my possession, not supplied by Pyramid) to entrance step and new nosing to the outside of front door step. Should also have fitted a metal strip inside the door, but didn’t. Outside nosing not originally meant to be on the job sheet. Summary: Shoddy and lacking in attention to detail (in my opinion). Disappointed customer. April 2022 – fitters returned to fit metal strip to the inside of door step. To do this they had to remove the carpet they fitted previously in February – then used most of the remainder of the carpet to repeat and redo the original job. As fitters left, I noticed a corner of the carpet was not glued down properly and just managed to call them back before they left the car park. Summary: Shoddy and lacking in attention to detail (in my opinion). Disappointed customer again. June 2022- fitters returned to refit metal strip as the one fitted in April came loose. As it came loose, I tripped over it, almost fell over but badly injured my foot instead. Summary: Shoddy workmanship caused my injury (in my opinion). Disappointed customer again. July 2022 – delivery driver (not a fitter!) was sent to fit a wider metal strip, as the one fitted in June came loose, yet again. Wider strip has since remained in place. Surely the professional fitters must have known the narrower metal strips were unfit for purpose? Anyway, there were a couple of other visits in between June and July to see what was actually required; horse, bolt and stable door sum this up. Summary: Shoddy and lacking in attention to detail (in my opinion). Disappointed customer, again. Door plate has remained in situ since July, hurrah! Apart from the delivery driver, no member of staff visiting my property apologised in any way for any of the utter shambolic debacle of events, everyone blamed another department, lack of communication, etc. Turns out that I’m quite possibly and probably (in my perceived opinion) just an irrelevant, if disappointed, customer. August 2022, Pyramid now want paying for their shoddy work and service. Over £80 “to supply and fit new nosing”, it says on my invoice. Seems expensive for such shoddiness. Apparently, the whole job has cost Pyramid a lot more than this (all Pyramid’s own doing, not mine) and when I queried the customer service and quality of workmanship provided, I was told that if I don’t pay in full, they will send out a legal letter. Wow. No offer of any kind of gesture of goodwill, impossible to speak personally to a manager. I’m an older customer, I feel very let down by the whole thing. Summary: shoddy in all areas (in my opinion), and I’m very disappointed in all areas . Don’t bother with them. I won’t, ever again.

My wife and I went into the store this morning and found what we were looking for. About 5 staff looked as though they were on staff training. Another member of staff was sat at his desk on his computer. My wife asked him for help and he said he would be with us in a minute. After 7 or 8 minutes another member of staff asked if we needed help,we said yes but the guy at the computer snapped "I've already said I'lI help them". More minutes went passed with said guy in no hurry to help us so we left. He didn't even look up as we passed his desk. Never again will I step in Pyramid carpets because you obviously don,t employ staff with manners.

I had my carpets and flooring fitted throughout the house. They arrived and laid all of the flooring and I pointed out how badly rippled all of the floor was. The response was "Call the shop" with that they left me with a totally godawful job. I was left with ripples, 4 cut off corners, a large hole in a wall from them slamming a door into it and also a badly uneven flooring job with waves, ripples and tears all over it. An utter joke to have left it that way. I emailed and was told the flooring would be sorted. The fitter did return and ripped up the flooring then restuck it all. The hole in the wall was not repaired. After 2 days it all came back up again and looked an absolute state. They were rebooked to re-attend to fix the mess a third time and they failed to arrive. I wasted £70 disconnecting my cooker. and, as a disabled man I also had to move heavy items around for no reason. They eventually did come and said they would stick the whole floor down. I had to pay another £70 to disconnect the cooker (This time it was reimbursed by Pyramid However still leaving me £100 out of pocket - £30 to fix the hole and the first £70) When they came the replaced the first lot of flooring but did not stick it all down as they stated they would. Now, yes, again, the flooring is all rippled and looking shoddy yet again. I have now decided to pay a reputable company to remove it and re-cover it in a more professional manner. My opinion is Pyramid are unrealistically inept. The photos I have uploaded speak for themselves and prove this is not simply someone having a whine. I have genuine reason for complaint. I shall be taking this up with the Council. They (Pyramid) have made promises they did not keep, did dodgy work and failed to do the job right after 3 attempts which is shambolic. A job should be completed first right time and this would prevent this kind of suffering, stress and cost for disabled customers. I am absolutely outraged and I would never do any business with Pyramid.
