The product was good value but dispatch time and the DPD courier company were poor to put it mildly. It took three attempts to deliver to my address. They are historically bad at deliveries in my location. Shame I could not rate you more highly. Internet advertising is very prominent and well structured. I would like to use your company again but would be put off if it was DPD.

Having ordered the product on the 8th March 2024 and follow-up enquiry on the 18th March I was advised that it was to be delivered on the 20th. I received an email from Dpd on the 19th staing that they were expecting my parcel and would update when received. They emailed on the 21st stating they would attempt delivery, however, they were unable to to deliver it and finally deposited it at a collection point on the 22nd - meaning that I now had to travel there to collect it. 14 days to deliver any item is unacceptable but particularly when it was stated next day.

This review is based on my latest experience with ProGreen - my order took over two weeks to arrive, during which time there was no communication from ProGreen and no response to an email sent requesting a delivery date. Payment of £800 was taken upfront, which I don’t mind if delivery is made in a reasonable timeframe. If awaiting stock this should be made clear on the website and payment taken upon despatch.

Arrived on time, well packaged. We applied exactly as instructions said, and already noticed within days that the Marestail was dying off, which is good, but although this is supposed to be a non-selective weed killer it doesn't seem to be as efficient at all for common weeds such as : Dandelion (little effect), Creeping Charlie (ground ivy) (No effect at all), Common climbing ivy (No effect at all) Common Mallow (little effect), Brambles (very little effect). We used Kurtail exactly as suggested on the bottle and used the water softener as directed. We'll leave it a little while longer but I can imagine we'll be sourcing something else in the future. Bit disappointing to be honest as it's not a cheap product.

Hi Kerry, Thanks for your review. We are dissapointed to hear that this is not having the effect you thought it would on the other weeds and it is something that should have worked on these plants. Please could you call our technical team on 01778 394052 and they would be keen to talk to you about this. Many thanks The ProGreen Team

Ordering fine. Progreen service & website fine. But disastrous delivery experience (If you use the awful Parcelforce - and UPS for that matter - what do you expect?!) and, though Libby tried to help, still not complete as I write (and still haven't inspected one of the products delivered). Splitting delivery between couriers didn't help. Stayed in on several days to wait for couriers who never turned up.

Hi Simon, We apologise that you have experiences these issues with your delivery. Unfortunately due to the nature of our goods we are very limited with the choice of couriers we are allowed to use so for products that are classed as "hazardous" they have to go with UPS and anything oversized tends to go with parcelforce. If you are still having issues, please contact us and we will be sure to help resolve the problem for you. The ProGreen Team

Ordered two tests in June. We have received the results for one but not the other (ita now the end of July). I've requested a refund from the test that we haven't received but haven't received a response yet. Wouldn't really recommend, I think there are probably better more efficient companies to provide the same service.

Including delivery, these two shirt-button size nozzles cost £8.52. Probably made in China for a pound per 500. They didn't work for me as the holes were too big, resulting in a squirt instead of a spray

Very good service from the company, however have had mixed results with Barrier H, the last field that I sprayed killed off all the leaves but not the roots and all the ragwort has come back with a vengeance, which is very disappointing

Colours patches until it rains then seemed to get washed off quickly. Nozzle on spray was leaking and did not operate effectively. Overall rather disappointed so far.

At first I was impressed, the SBK and K Plus knocked the horsetail down, within a few days. It took me about a week to realise that although the fronds were dead the stems were still very much alive. I gave the areas a second treatment 2 weeks later,as advised and have done it for a third time. Unfortunately the stems are still green and rigid (definitely alive). Don't waste your money, spend the extra £15 and buy Kurtail (assuming that works!). I regret not doing so,myself.

Hello Mr Smith. Thank you for making contact with us. Can I point out a couple of technique improvements that would improve your experience with SBK pus Kplus. Please see https://www.progreen.co.uk/problem/mare-s-horse-tail . Can I also draw your attention to the following… “ProGreen has a great alternative to Kurtail Evo which has a few unique features. When combined with the water conditioner KPlus, SBK Brushwood Killer becomes an extremely effective option against this troublesome target weed. Kplus maximises the effect of the herbicide by preventing herbicide ions locking up onto the free calcium ions in water. Try to time the application, when most of the weeds are at least 6-8" tall (15-20cm) and not as they first emerge. Sprayed horsetail usually takes 7-14 days or the weed to show symptoms of control , but it will take longer to rot down and disappear, so be patient. Successive applications are usually necessary to control further emergence of root fragments. Full control and translocation of the product down to the roots can take 4-5 weeks. Once it is completely dead it may be raked or cleared away. “ I agree that Kurtail Evo is a great alternative, but SBK is the only legally approved option for hand-held sprayers and is grass safe. We have been involved in the development of both products and have found very little difference in the end results if all guidance is followed. We hope this helps you. Kind regards - The Progreen Technical Team

although it kills the top of mares tail it does not kill the root as advertised as the root puts out new shoots after 7 days or so Therefore this is an expebsive weed killer that has no better effect than much cheaper ones

Dear Colin Thank you for your feedback. We have been providing marestail solutions for nearly ten years now and we hope we have gathered experience every year since then to pass on to our customers. We have two marestail options SBK plus KPlus and Kurtail plus KPlus. You purchased the SBK plus Kplus option and full technical advice can be found at https://www.progreen.co.uk/problem/mare-s-horse-tail We would like to draw your attention to the following text Try to time the application, when most of the weeds are at least 6-8" tall (15-20cm) and not as they first emerge. Dear Ian - We are sorry to hear that you did not achieve the outcome desired. New Way Weed Spray is a 1st generation alternative to glyphosate and works in a totally different manner to a glyphosates which traditionally translocate down to the roots to give control .New Way Weed Spray works by scorching/burning the weed that you can see; putting the plant under stress to achieve the control. In order to get a good level of with these new generation weed killers there is a need to ensure the target weed is totally covered almost to the point of run off; this is because of the more natural formulation of the product and its mode of action. Many of our customers prefer products such as New Way as they wish to step towards newer natural technologies; but they do need to be applied in a different manner. We are more than happy to discuss this further with you if needs be - The Progreen Team

Micro weed wipe angled head the wick would not stay in place.Although I was using die with the Round Up very difficult to see if any chemical was being applied (rating poor). Gave up using this and changed to the applicator with the sponge head which you tapped down on the weeds much more positive(rating good)

Thank you much for letting us know how you got on with this as we are always grateful to receive all feedback. The weed wipe is usually very effective, so we're sorry that you didn't get on with it. It is generally an effective wiping tool, which as you know uses herbicide to soak the wicking rope which is then dragged across the weed. Taller weeds may be prone to bending so it can be hard to see what is applied, even with a dye, but using an increased dilution rate means that not to much is needed to touch the leaf in order for a fatal dose to be applied so you should get a good result none the less. As you know weed wipers are also excellent for avoiding spray drift damage on nearby foliage, So we are very sorry you found it such a tricky job. On the positive side we are glad to hear that the sponge head worked well. If you need any further help don't hesitate to get in touch and once again thank you.
