“After initially attempting to obtain a mortgage through the normal direct routes, but not succeeding due to my complex finiancial status (director of own company, dividend income, age, retained earnings in the company) I approached Daniel Smith of Private Finance, on the recommendation of the vendor's agents, to see if he would have greater success. I was impressed by the efforts, ultimately successful, that he and his mortgage team (Maniksha Shah) made to source a suitable mortgage. After some complex negotiations with the lenders and underwriters, beyond anything that I would have been able to achieve, I was very happy to receive a mortage offer resulting in the purchase of a property. I cannot rate Daniel and Maniksha highly enough for their ability to source a suitable mortgage in unconventional and difficult circumstances. Commendations also for Jordan Kimsey for his successful efforts in sourcing suitable life cover for the mortgage. Definitely worth every penny of Private Finance's very reasonable fees. I highly recommend.”

“Donny & Nick really helped us out when we had been turned away from our Financial Advisor who had said to give up trying! Within a day or two Donny & Nick had us sorted with a mortgage that not only suited us but has cheaper monthly repayments than we had previously hoped for. Very efficient, very calm and understanding. Explained everything in layman's terms which was really helpful to us, being novices. They even recommended someone to help us complete our purchase who turned out to be fantastic too. We will definitely be using Private Finance in the future.”

“Very much appreciated the advice and support from Donny Mawson, particularly in chasing the Solicitors who were very slow. I have already suggested to Donny that in future he might make it clearer up front what steps were involved and potential issues. I had not appreciated the possibility that the lender we were originally looking at might turn us down. I would also be interested to know if there is a statutory requirement to use a solicitor as they added 0 value - and in fact cost us by taking so long as I had to pay credit card interest charges while waiting for the deal to complete.”

“I had a fairly complicated situation at age 74 of securing a reasonably flexible way of providing short term finance to cover the cost of buying a home, without incurring the limitations and high up front costs of a bridging loan , whilst I wait for a buyer for my current apartment.
