Playdale Playgrounds Ltd is a family-run, international business that manufactures playground equipment. We pride ourselves on creating exciting, innovative and educational outdoor play equipment that makes children smile all over the world.

Our head office, manufacturing facilities and global distribution centre are situated on the edge of the Lake District in Cumbria, UK. We have a fantastic team of 110 people and have created over 23,000 play areas in 49 countries across the world.

“Great job upgrading previous equipment and installing a new set of play items to a really high standard. Worked very well with us and understood what we wanted to achieve.”

“The pre-sales and design service we received from Playdale were excellent. The coordination of the installation work was not good, and we had several delays. However now that the installation is complete, we are very pleased with the end product and it has been really well received by the community. We will certainly contact Playdale again when we have the opportunity to further extend our Play equipment.”

“Chris and Tracey are always very good and easy to deal with. The two play areas were delayed mainly due to weather. General feedback on the contractors from each site, was they weren’t very productive and attitude could be better.”

“The recessed holes for the washers were drilled the wrong side of the timbers so we had to redrill them on site.”

“we had missing bolts and plastic caps which would have held up the whole project fortunately we had the plastic caps in stock and were able to source the missing bolts locally.”

“Playdale were good throughout the process and responded clearly and helpfully to our requirements. The play equipment is great, looks good in our play area and is sturdy, safety-conscious and as far as possible accessible. It's well designed for play value for younger children, which is what we wanted. We were well supported in the installation process, which was done on time. Some work had to be re-done/finished off but this was done without any fuss, although I've rated 4-star rather than 5-star as a result of the need to rework. The end result is a very nice addition to our play area. Thank you.”

“The workers turned up on time, worked hard, were very helpful and courteous and did a really good job of the installation of our Inclusive Orbital despite them being delayed a whole day by the courier delivering the equipment a day late. They left the site clean and tidy but unfortunately left something else too. We had agreed that the spoil, packing, pallet and waste from the job could be left on site but did not really want the waste and rubbish from their previous job(s) left with it. That's lost you a star.”

“the recent multi-play flat pack unit that our lads have been putting in this week at Longsight Park. They’ve spent a lot of time drilling extra holes in the workshop as things didn’t line up when they were assembling the units. There was a lot of head scratching and the lead, Gary, said it’s the hardest piece they’ve ever put in.”

“Delivery eventually came after lockdown.Delay due to council decision making process taking so long beforethe lockdown stated-not Playdale!Help given before useful.Would prefer one stop shop as I spoke to many people on the process and this was atad confusingat times. Otherwise, the new(Springer motorbike- chosen by kids and parents) and past equipment is very popular and used regularly. Any ideas roundabouts and other equipment suitable for a small space and people with physical disabilities?”

“Playdale are by no means the cheapest of playground equipment suppliers ... BUT our charity knows that if we buy Playdale then we’re buying top quality, high spec equipment that is designed & built to last. There is also the reassurance of a proper guarantee rather than the weasel words that you get from some other suppliers that turn out not to be worth the paper they’re written on. Playdale are a well-organised and friendly company to deal with. Our only slight criticism of their systems is that their quotations are only valid for a relatively short period. Grant applications can take several months to come through and to find that the quoted price has gone up in the meantime can be heart-breaking for a small charity.”
