“I absolutely love petTracer, it was the make recommended by my vet. I live in a rural location and there are foxes around so I keep my 3 cats in at night. If they don’t come in it means I can find exactly where they are and call them in, which stops me stressing! On 2 occasions when one of them has lost their collar outside the GPS tracking has taken me to it first time. It’s also fascinating seeing where they all go! Finally the support especially from Zoe is excellent.”

“Overall this tracker will def give you piece of mind when on your cat. It's not without its cons however the pros far out weight the cons in my opinion. Here are my pros 1) High quality product compared to others 2) Once setup correctly the map and tracking works perfectly. 3) if you cat is muscular or big this collar looks good. 4) finding the collar is so easy if you lose the cat or collar* (* see below) 5) gps, infrared and led light makes this unbeatable in location finding especially at night. 6) customer service is very helpful 7) battery life last much longer than competition by a country mile. Even on higher settings Some cons 1) setup appears easy and simple but actually making it work can be problematic. I had to translate German too with mine (I was told this has been rectified by CS) 2) must have a pc for setup 3) once your used to the functionality of dashboard its easy but getting to know the main page is daunting. 4) * (from above) The blue collar is weak if you have a big cat buy the black collars in shop as well, otherwise you be out looking for the collar not your cat. 5) cost of monthly payment is high compared to others on market and can't leave early unless you pay full price of subscription. Overall I am now using black collars and have got used to the website. I can see exactly where my cat goes and where she hangs out. She is a very active cat and l love the fact I can monitor her whereabouts. A must have for cat owners, no price can find your cat if it goes missing PetTracer is the best product out there for tracking!”

“The collars generally work quite well but when they are indoors or under a car and not getting a full satellite signal the map positions zoom off in any direction which is annoying. The map positions are often out by 4 or 5 metres. The signal strength does give a good idea of how far they are from the base, which can be handy.”

Hi Philip, thank you for your review! Seems like there is a glitch with the location and Google Maps moving your current location. In the app you can press the reload button which is on the right side of your screen and that will take you to the last known position of your cat and just above that there is the button that shows your position within the map. “Battery life is good and the variety of speed setttings is great. Location accuracy is sometimes a little off the correct location ( e.g. one time our cat was in the house and his tracker showed him a mile away from home ) Fairly lightweight collar and our cat doesn’t seem to mind wearing it. Overall it’s an ok pet tracker (but we don’t have any others to compare to)”

“This is the best pet tracker by far. It is a fraction of the size of a similar tracker and if you’re not checking it every minute, the battery lasts for weeks - so much more convenient when you have to go on holiday and leave poor puss in the care of others. It also doesn’t fall off or get caught like a different tracker I used. It might seem an expensive option but after having lost a cat without a tracker, the cost is worth every penny. I love the radio tracker which allows you to find in places without wifi. Six months in and only praise.”

“My ragdoll cat really insists to go out. Pet tracer allowed me to let him go out in a controlled way and give me peace of mind. Using heat map, I can see what is his territory and track him easier. Beside all of this the customer service is outstanding, I definitely recommend Pet Tracer.”

“I did not enjoy this buying experience. Set up was a challenge and there was little assistance with that because the person I was speaking to did not understand why I had an issue. Things were missing out of the box that I had to ask to be resent. It is very expensive for what it is and only works outside. If you’re want to cancel early you have to send back the unit. I paid £190 for the year for a service I used once before getting a cat protected garden. After cancelling, I had to pay return postage for the unit and then continued to get emails asking when I was going to return it after I already had.”

Hi, Thank you for your review and apologies that you had a bad experience. We take bad reviews very seriously and always try to improve our service. Just a couple of points that we would like to point out regarding your review: - petTracer works outside with GPS and if your cat is trapped somewhere where there is not GPS, such as someones garage. You can use the Radio Only Search Mode. petTracer is the only cat tracker to combine both technologies - Yes, you have to send the unit back or pay for it if you'd like to cancel your contract before it is due to end. We do refund you in full during the first month if you are not happy with it and send it back. - If Hardware is sent to us without a cover letter or a name sometimes it will take longer to be updated in the system and hence you might still get emails about it. However, this does not tend to happen under normal circumstances.

“I have a cat which only now has started leaving the house I was very apprehensive about letting him out but since tracking him with pet tracer I feel a lot more calmed. I use I on the Search mode as he is only out for an hour or so.”

“I have tried another two trackers before Pet Tracer and I have to say that although I miss a couple of features that Tractive had overall I am much happier with Pet Tracer. It is a lot smaller and comfortable for my cat who has a small neck and the battery lasts a few days in Fast Mode which is a lot more than with other trackers where I felt if the cat disappeared I would have a very small window of opportunity to find him before battery was totally flat. I also want to point out that their customer support is amazing and they have replaced the tracker within 48h as it had some malfunction which it is understandable with technology.”

“I love this, been using for around 3 weeks. Pretty accurate and I love that it has a radio tracker too. The only issue, and it is a very small issue, is that it is a little large, not bulky, but the circumference is a little large for my young cat. However I have been informed that there is an insert that can be bought at a good price which will remove this issue. I am just waiting for one to come through. So now I have NO ISSUESwith this product. Thank you David. Over all, I would recommend this one over all the others. I don't even mind paying the subscription as I know that the company has to pay to use the satellite systems. Buy one if you love your cat.”

“Our Cat, Jessie would disappear for several days and we have worried that she might be getting locked in some where. The system works very well, we had no idea of how far her territory was. She hasn't gone missing yet but we do now know where she is going.”

“We moved over from a PawTrack device after becoming frustrated with it always failing to connect in our “semi-rural” location. Although the PetTracer still doesn’t ALWAYS tell us where he is on the fastest speed mode if I put it on to search mode I can always find him which is great as he has night blindness and must be home before dark. The only thing that would make the device perfect would be the two things I miss about PawTrack. 1) PawTrack sends push notifications via the app when the batteries are low so I don’t need to check my email to know it needs to be charged. 2) There is a terrible road near to our home that people regularly speed on, the Geofencing setting on the PawTrack was handy because it told me if he was going too close to that road so I could go out and scoop him up. Other than that this has appeared to be a superior product.”

“I've than the pet tracer for a month now and with the help of friends and family I've only just managed to set it up. Only to find it doesn’t even work. There is not even a helpline to call . It's absolute con, nothing like the video ad. Complete waste of money. Save your money and buy a bell you'll have a better chance of finding your pet.”

Dear David, Thank you for your review and apologies that you are not getting on with petTracer but we are most definitely not a con and happy to go over any issues you might have and resolve them. After having checked your support ticket on the 20th of Dec we can see that we replied to you and gave you instructions. Looking at your portal I can see GPS positions for the duration that you had petTracer on, then you turned the HomeStation off. We will email you now and offer assistance but if you wish to return the Set we will refund you. Best Wishes

“It works really well for my cat and we love keeping an eye on him when he goes out. The app works well too and is easy enough to use. I had to contact them a couple of times and always got a prompt reply, so customer service is good too”

“We were recommended PetTracer by a friend. Prior to it, we had tried 3 other similar products but non came even close. The build quality is excellent, the collar itself feels very durable, is extremely light and works like a charm! I can’t recommend their product highly enough.”
