“The course did met my expectations. The only problem was the rooms, they were too old and the bathrooms need serious improvements. I was definitely expecting more in these terms from one of the best universities in the world: Oxford. BUT in general I really enjoyed my program with ORA and I will definitely recommend it to friends and family.”

Hi Sam, Thank you for you feedback and great rating! The rooms we lease are all genuine bedrooms of Oxford University colleges, so they are exactly the rooms lived in by students during term time. The consequence of Oxford being such an ancient institution is that some of the facilities are centuries old, so are very characterful but occasionally slightly out of date. We'll be sure to review the room you stayed in, and make sure that it lives up to our standards ahead of 2017's Summer Courses, though, so thank you for bringing it to our attention. “At first i thought we were going to spend our time studying rather than having fun. The first day felt like it was a month, but as soon as i got to know the people with me i knew that those 2 weeks would become the best two weeks in my life. The bond between us as groups is way beyond imaginable, i have never missed someone that much in my life to this day other than the people i've met in ORA. The councilors, were one of a kind, they were so friendly that i still remember each and every one of them until now. I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful experience and for showing me what its like to make friends from other places in the world.”

“The staff at Oxford royale academy are so supportive and amazing. The councellers are so caring as are the teachers. The people you meet and make friends with become your friends for life and at the end of the 2 weeks there are a lot of tears as people don't want to leave ! Honestly Oxford royale academy was one of the best experiences of my life.”

“My experience at Oxford Royale Academy was amazing. In my classes I learned a lot of new, interesting information that will help me in my future. I also had great fun exploring the area and going on excursions. I made friendships that will last forever. I had a great time at this camp; I learned a lot and made so many new friends.”

“I've done the last session, it was really good! The counsellors were really nice and helpful, the teachers were really nice and professional. The people were supernice and I have done a lot of Friends. The only problem was the breakfast 2 weeks the same thing.”

“My first day of ORA was frightening and exciting. I came with a slight fear that quickly faded and left with sadness. I made friends at ORA that will last a lifetime. The councillors were extraordinary, always there when we needed them. The teachers were excellent, providing new fun ways to learn. I honestly can't think of a better way to spend my summer. Thank you!”

“The medical school preparation programme in Balliol College,Session5 was amazing. Great teachers and it has really broadened my medical knowledge. Outside classes, our wonderful counsellors made it unforgettable with fun activities and games. This was definitely the best summer experience and would recommend it for anyone. I would surely return next year.”

“Oxford Royale Academy is most certainly a summer camp that everyone with a passion for education should be able to experience at least once in their lifetimes. This summer camp was taught at Oxford University, using their facilities too. The camp was very well balanced between relaxation and education, and at no point was it boring as there was always something to do! Other than participating in courses taught by experts, you get to meet a large variety of individuals from all over the world with similar preferences as yourself! I would warmly recommend this trip for anyone who may also be indecisive about their future, to partake in the "Broadening Horizons" courses. The time spent there may well have been some of the best weeks of my life, and the friendships created at this camp will most certainly be life long ones. Great memories were definitely made, and this is a great way to spend a small part of your summer holiday.”

“i attended the third session of this summer program in balliol college . this experience was amazing , the teacher are really attentive and helped us through it all , the counsellors are really nice people and they became also our friends but the best thing in all this experience was the people . we met people from all over the world who became amazing and close friends . this summer program was one of the best things i ever attended and i recommend it to every person who wants to have a good time , meet new people and learn new interesting things.”

“I was already at ORA last year and I loved it, but this time I enjoyed it even more. I learned so much in the lessons and in my free- time. Nothing could replace this experience. I just love it. Everyone just try to help you and makes your experience to a wonderful special one. I recommend it to everyone, because it is just awesome. I love it.”

“ORA was one of the most amazing learning experiences in my life. I'm glad, that I've chosen this course. I've met a lot of people and learnt a lot. Oxford is a wonderful city with an amazing atmosphere. Medical Preparation Course was well-prepared, the teacher was well educated and informed about everything properly. Even though we had to learn, it didn't take our own free time. Most of the people didn't like the food at the campus, and unfortunately, I was often one of them - food for vegetarians wasn't really great, and one option of the meal is not enough, especially, if someone doesn't like lentil or chilli :) I also think, that night registration shouldn't be at 22:30, because some students would like to go to bed earlier. Any parties or ceremonies were great prepared and organised. The big disadvantage of going anywhere was, that people are irresponsible, and it took us 30 mins more to gather everyone, what cut our free time in London. Stuff should do something to solve this issues. I loved the counsellors - they were kind and talkative, it was fun to spend time with them, they were friendly to answer any of your questions. I've come back home with much more knowledge than I've ever had and prepared for a hard work, that is waiting for me. I would honestly recommend this course for anyone :)”

It's great to hear from happy students, and we really appreciate useful feedback like yours, which will help us to improve ahead of our 2017 Summer School. We use the kitchen facilities and staff of actual Oxford University colleges during the summer - so the food you had is the same enjoyed by actual students during term time. However, if it wasn't varied enough that is something we will examine ahead of next year's courses, so thank you for letting us know. Similarly, your feedback about evening registration will be noted - we want to make sure that students can make the most of each evening, but if some people want to go to sleep earlier we'll be sure to try to accommodate that as well!
