- Rules were too harsh - Curfew for 16-18 years old is unnecessary as night life is a crucial part of oxford experience (Varsity doesn't have similar regulations) - otherwise, outstanding course!

Hi Oscar, Thank you for the valuable feedback! We put restrictions on students' movements only out of concern for their safety, and at the desire of parents who want to make sure their children are looked after. However, we review all of our practices each year, so your opinion will certainly be considered before our 2017 Summer School - thank you for voicing it! Best wishes, Max, Oxford Royale Academy

This camp was over my expectations. I thought that the staff were nice, the sites were interesting ranging from museums to punting, and most of all, I had fun as I met new people and the trips and lessons were fun. This was truly a spectacular experience.

The Broadening Horizons programme run by Oxford Royale Academy was simply spectacular. The classes held challenged me beyond my comfort zones and allowed me to discover my true potentials. All of this was done in an environment that was so conducive and that gave me a sense of belonging despite being so far from home. Everyday was a new learning experience whether it was from our excursions to renowned cities or from a simple discussion with friends. The councellors and staff members always went the extra mile in ensuring that my two weeks spent in Oxford were memorable ones. They attended to our every need and built really close relationships with the students that by the end of the programme, it was extremely difficult to part with them. What I cherish the most are the friends I have made within the short period of time. Everyone was so friendly and so open to learning new things about each other through fun games and activities that made my stay even more special. This was indeed an experience like no other and one that has left an indelible mark in my heart.

I am semi-homeschooled and by going to ORA, I gained not one experience, but lots of it. It expanded my world and the academics are well-taught. I enjoyed my two weeks there and made numerous bonds throughout the world.

I arrived at Oxford Royale with an extremely nervous outlook and underconfident personality. Oxford Royale Academy helped me feel more confident with my writing skills and taught me something about not caring about what others think of my work. It helped hone my skills and I am glad I chose it. I made friends from places I never expected to meet people from and it was over all a great experience

Oxford Royale Academy has made my experience amazing for the year. This was my second year there, and it couldn't have been any better. The classes I had (mathematics, contemporary history and teambuilding and leadership) were amazing and the teachers were so welcoming and understanding, when you said you didn't understand something. The counsellors were all very nice and also helpful. The accommodation at Oxford and the food, is not a 5 star hotel, but it has everything you may need or require. Oxford Royale Academy is a great summer school, if you are looking for one.

I Really enjoyed my experience at ORA. Meeting people from so many nationalities, interacting with them was an amazing experience. The classes were absolutely excellent and I learnt so many new things. The teachers were knowledgable, warm and friendly and all the counsellors and house deans were fabulous. The extra actives and excursion were extremely interesting. The accommodation (At Yarnton Manor Sesson 2) was absolutely beautiful. It was a wholesome experience that I will never forget. (I wish the food was better though, otherwise no complaints at all) :)

Hi Jacqueline, Thank you for your feedback and all of the kind words! We're thrilled to hear about how much you enjoyed the course and environment. We will be reviewing all of our policies, including catering, before our Summer School in 2017, so we'll be sure to examine the food, since it's the only thing that wasn't perfect for you! Oxford Royale was an amazing summer camp of inspiration, challenges, and fun. The Introduction to Law course itself was a challenging and engaging, providing us students with information that presented us to the different aspects of law, and more importantly, information that would help us decide our future career. Overall, the Oxford Royale Academy was an excellent camp. It organized interesting and varying activities for students every day, and gave students a chance to see the beautiful sceneries of Oxford. Although the course was absolutely amazing, there were a few small leaks. Firstly, the days ran a little bit too late, the shout ends at around 22:40 most of the time, and students barely have the time to shower and so on because if we shower earlier, we no longer have the chance to run around, and we wish to use the time to socialize. Secondly, the wifi. The wifi was unstable in the Department of Education most of the time, and many students did not know how to deal with these problems. Thirdly, too many surveys. In total, there were about three surveys, which could have been grouped into one on the final day with no problem. Fourthly, not a lot of time was given for packing, most students rushed on the final day, and it was easy to lose things. Otherwise, the Oxford Royale Academy was thoroughly enjoyable and I enjoyed every second of it. I hope to come back again in the future.

Hi Yik Lam, Thank you for all of the valuable feedback! It's great to hear these points in detail. We review all of our policies ahead of next year's Summer School, and it sounds like most of your complaints are centred around timetabling, so we'll be sure to investigate them in detail before next summer. I hope that we'll be able to welcome you back to Oxford in 2017, to see the fruits of our labour! Best wishes, Max Oxford Royale Academy

Oxford Royale is, much like most summer camps, a wonderful opportunity to mingle with other students from around the world. Around the city of Oxford I learned to respect people from all different cultures with their own habits and motives. It was also a good opportunity to create "inside jokes" of all cultures. While the classes were great, I couldn't help but feel like all mentors were slightly inexperienced at teaching their subject - though when asked questions, we all learned that they were very knowledgeable. I had a lot of fun and look forward to taking advantage of this opportunity when I structuralise plans to study in Oxford in the future.

The bed mattresses were not clean and the JCR was "broken" but other than that, it was an extremely fun experience!

Hi Alexandra, Thank you for your rating and the useful feedback. We're sorry that you encountered these issues - we were able to see to them during the Summer School, but we'll also be careful to ensure they aren't repeated next year. We hope to welcome you back to Oxford for our 2017 Summer School, so you can see the results of all our hard work preparing. Best wishes, Max Oxford Royale Academy

I genuinely enjoyed ORA this summer; I believe it was a very good experience and a worthwhile way of spending the summer. I made lots of friends, whom I got contacts of and nonetheless stay I touch with them. Also, I enjoyed the activities and classes and would therefore like to thank all of the ORA staff and faculty that made it happen (and especially those who gave in more time for me to help make my experience the evat they could I.e Alex, Ryan, Ms. Richards, Mr.Fisher etc. I, however, wish ORA had better surveillance in terms of the close behavior the students do.

It was the best two weeks I've every experienced and I'm glad that I had the chance to study and meet friends at such a prestigious university. It was a once in a lifetime experience that I would definitely never forget. It gave me a good chance to meet new people, new cultures and get a taste of university life. The courses were really good and interactive, which I liked.

Even though the conditions were satifying, I did expect more challenging courses. The information was basic and not intellectually stimulating.

Hi Maria, Thank you for your feedback - we value all of it, positive or negative! We're sorry that the academic course wasn't rigorous enough for your requirements. We tailor our courses to fit the needs of the individuals in each class, and we believe that we get this balance right the vast majority of the time. I hope that you'll come back in 2017, to be challenged in whatever course you choose! Best wishes, Max, Oxford Royale Academy

I attended the Medical Preparation Course and I can say with a clear conscience that it has been the best decision I've made in case of preparing for Medical studies. The course provided an insight into the process of application for university. Both teachers and counsellors have been very helpful and kind, as well as the students. If anyone would ask me whether it is worth going - I'd say 'yes' without thinking. P.S this is not sponsored :p
